SCRAPMATTS CREATING with Lizzy!

Hello there,
 How is your day going?  The days seem to be flying by and I am just shaking my head that we are in August already!! I hope you are managing to get some Scrapbooking time in your busy week!

I would like to share some creating I have done and of course I have used some lovely SCRAPMATTS  on my pages!

The first layout is one I created for a previous months C.S.I. Color, Stories, Inspiration  challenge
that Scrapmatts were a sponsor for.. These are fun online challenges and you might win some lovely prizes!!

The challenge was a beachy themed one and I found some fabulous beach themed chipboard for my page and began creating! This was the challenge..
I created a page about a trip to the beach!

More String Circles and I cant get enough of the Film Strips either!

A Ships Wheel, layered with a shell that has just been lightly swiped with gesso.. And a little secret, I have cut the Film Strip into two pieces so none was lost under my photo!!

And the second layout I have created that I am sharing with you is a layout I created just for the fun of creating! It is a simple design and didnt take long to create. A few special pieces of Scrapmatts and a little stencilling and spray of mist and I had this created in no time!

I just added some rhinestones to this pretty frame for some added bling..

August Creations with Tania

Tania joining you today to share a couple of projects I created for this month using lots of gorgeous Scrapmatts goodies! 

 First up I have a layout to share...... 

"Simply Beautiful Memories"

I used the Cracks stencil to add texture to my background and then added a little colour using Dylusions Sprays, Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical's and some Rose Gold foil leaf on the background page too.  Once dry I added a few paper layers and lots of fussy cut elements to the background page.  I coloured some chipboard feathers with dylusions spray and tucked them into the fussy cut feathers. I framed my photo using one of the Arrow String Circles in the white finish.  Added lots of pretty blooms and a Scrapword to finish of the title!

My second share for this month is also a Layout.  

"Memories last forever and ever"

I used white cardstock for the base and then added lots of layers to it.  I then added texture to the page using the Moroccan Patterns stencil.  Once dry I added my photo.  As my chipboard pieces were already coloured with either the white or black finish I didn't alter them.  I added the large Clock face to the top of my photo and the smaller one to the bottom.   I cut the Bubbles chipboard into pieces and tucked them under the photo and under layers of the patterned papers.  I them embellished the page with lots of yummy blooms and finished off with a title from the Scrap Words 32.

Beautiful Layout - Crece T

Hello everyone, Can't believe how quick this year is going...

we are already in AUGUST!!!

The layout I created this month to share with you has a little bit of a

BEE feel to it.

 

BEAUTIFUL

 This layout is of my gorgeous cousin Kiera.

I started with white cardstock, I watered down yellow chalk paint and used a plastic bag to sponge the paint onto the cardstock.

 

I then used Damask Stencil 9025 with modelling paste and randomly went over the painted area.

 

I wanted to add another colour, so I used a dark shade of brown water paint and added a splash here and there.

I also added a little stamping to the background.

 

I then painted CB5122 Hexagon Mesh 01 with some metallic copper paint and tucked it under the photo and to the top left of the layout.



 

I also tucked some CB5082 Leaf Spray 02  under the flowers, I painted them with some Gold metallic paint and then using my finger I applied a little white gesso to soften the look. 

 



 

To finish  of the layout I used CB1240 Scrap Words 26 'Beautiful' and 'Close to my heart'

I love the natural brown leather look these chipboard pieces have, and they worked really well on this layout.

A Warm Welcome to August @ Scrapmatts

 I love how this card turned out....A scrap of check paper, a touch of lace, buttons, a Scrapmatts Stencil, a few pretty flowers and a touch of chipboard and presto you have a pretty card!
