June Creating with Lizzy.

 Hello there..

Today it is my turn to share with you some creating using the fabulous Scrapmatts products.

I have a layout that I created using a family photo.. It is difficult to get everyone together these days so this was a special moment worth scrapping..

As I usually do I started with laying down some scraps and tags to add some texture to my page.

Sometimes I use bits that are sitting on my desk.. and whatever will make some texture.

I then covered the scraps with a light layer of gesso and then used a stencil for added texture. A spray of mist and then I began to create my layout..

I used a wonderful tree chipboard that I painted with a green and dotted it with brown to add a bit of age to the trunk and branches.. How cool does the branches look against the texture!!?

I used lots of layers to add some dimension to lift my photo and I added a film strip that I cut in half under these layers. The assorted Words were perfect for my title.

Family Time.

Somehow that tree makes me think of "family Trees" I love the way it looks on my layout. .a lovely feature on my page..

and here is a list of the SCRAPMATTS that I have used on my layout.

From the Beach to the Bush

 Hello again all my lovelies.

As the title of this post states my pages this month are beach and bush.

First up are my gorgeous great nieces and nephew having fun at the beach.

I created this page at the Scrapmatts Retreat at Neville, if you think you have stress in your life, just try doing this under the watchful eye of Andrew and Sofie, phew, seriously though Sofie had some great insights and advice which gave this page that little bit extra to make it pop. Especially placing some muslin underneath the tore layers of paper.

Wanting this to be bit and colorful, like an aquarium, I used a lot of different mediums from metallic paints, markers and splashes of white paint.

With the stencil I inked through it with a blue/grey ink to give the impression of waves, I think that it turned out pretty good.

The next is a real Australiana page incorporating some really awesome themed chipboard.
With these pieces I just used a couple of different shades of green ink as well as markers, the title was already black which was just perfect for the page. Also used was some great corrugated cardboard that I roughly tore and then inked.

So there we are for this month, two very different pages celebrating our great outdoors.
Until next month.

Layering and Fussy Cutting with Heather

Good morning This month again I have done some more fussy cutting, I love my fussy cutting. I have used this very pretty paper range from Mintay. I started by adding some of the leaves from the layered roses and leaves stencil using some cream paste so that they are a soft background. The chipboard is CB1018 Card Borders 01, and I have just very simply given them a very light layer of white paint, almost white washed. They layout is made of up of layers of frames, and fussy cut flowers, vases and birds, then the chipboard is tucked in as an accent.
Please forgive the shadow, I have started a new job and I have taken the photo at a really bad time.
These are the Scrapmatts products that I have used:
Thank you again for spending time with me again this month Heather

May Creating

Hi everyone,

Lisette here with some more layouts to inspire you.

Life has been very busy for me over the last couple of months.  Luckily in a good way.  My husband and I have just been to Ularu for a few days.  Such a special part of Australia and well worth visiting if you haven't. I am heading to a Scrapbooking retreat next weekend.  So excited to catch up with this great bunch of girls again.  Netball season is in full swing now especially as I am involved with a rep team and we head to Junior State Titles at the end of June.  I have also reinvigorated my love of patchwork and quilting.

I created both of these layouts earlier this year for challenges.

The first one if for the current Just Add Flair Challenge.  Masks and temperature checks with the norm at work last year - not a favourite fashion accessory, but necessary.

Creative Cards

 Hello & Welcome

Fi here today, sharing with you some cards slim line cards I've Create.  Cards are something you can create using your scraps from you left over papers, that way you always have a stash on hand when they are needed.

First up is a sweet little car made from Simple Studio Cottage Garden leftovers.  I used the splatter stencil to control the sprays I've used along with some delicate little chipboard pieces.

I decided to leave the chipboard raw to tie in with the twine and flowers.

I've also created a masculine card using left over from the Bo- Bunny Once Upon of Lifetime Collection.  I have added some decorative chipboard that has been stamped lightly with a script stamp.

Other than the light script stamp, I love that you don't have to do to much to this chipboard to get it to work within your project.
