March Creating with Lizzy.

Hello there! Here we are half way through March! And it is time for me to share what I have been creating for Scrapmatts!

I got some new papers from AB Studios and I don't know about you but when I get something new I cant wait to create with them!!

The first thing I did was to add some stencilling and splash some water color around on my back ground paper... and yes I was so excited I forgot to take a photo of this before I added my embellishments. .hehe!! but I do have some closer views to show you some of the details..

I have gone with a bit of a circle theme on my layout, I love these stenciled circles adding some texture to the back ground.. and I have cut some segments of the Bubbles chipboard and popped them under the layers.. I painted the chipboard with white gesso..

I really like the dimension from putting the chipboard under the fussy cut leaves and flowers..

A closer view of the chipboard title from the Scrap Words 06 pack and the Lavender chipboard that was painted with water color and the fabulous String Circle which forms a frame around my photo..

A Perfect Day.

The straws are simply tied together with string and glued onto my layout, something different to add some dimension. I do like how this layout came together with all the circular elements.

And while I had all the papers and chipboard on my desk I thought I would make a card using basically the same design and elements of my layout..

a closer view..

Stencilling and paint on the back ground, the Bubble chipboard cut into a small segment and the smallest Circle frame, fussy cut flowers and a chipboard word to complete my card..

Celebrate.

So if you have created a layout that you are pleased with, how about creating a card along the same design and then you have a card in your stash ready for the next occasion!

Day by Day Together

Day by Day Together.

Hello There

Today I am sharing with you a recent layout I completed using the beautiful papers from Mintay called Day by Day and Scrapmatts Chipboard.

This photo is from my wedding a few years ago and when I seen this sheet of paper, I knew that this picture would fit perfectly with the stairs on the paper.

It helps that the dress had black on it too!!! Lol.

Chipboard used here is the

CB5131 Bubbles

Coloured with a Black Sparkle Pen.

Bubbles used in background.

To add some more dimension to my layout I have used this NEW chippy

Here is the finished layout.

By just adding a touch of black sparkle on the chippy, it really made the layout pop.

Love this Moment.

For this layout I have used the Circles chipboard to add feature.

I love these circles and they reminded me of Mickey's Ears!!

So they were perfect to add to this Disney layout.

Today I would like show you my Metallic Junk Journal Cover using Scrapmatts chipboard.

Beautiful Darcelle with Scrapmatts

Good Morning and welcome to November....arghhh, does that mean Christmas is nearly here?

Today I would like to share with you a layout I created using some beautiful Scrapmatts chipboard.

I have used the new Prima paper Darcelle by Frank Garcia.

I love the deep purples and maroons.

This layout was inspired by Marg from Country Papercraft in Bruce Rock, where I spent a gorgeous weekend creating.

The photo is from my wedding 7 years ago and I was a few kilo's heavier but the black and white just lent itself to this layout.

I have coloured my chipboard with the Wink of Stella Black Glitter Pen.

I just love the look it creates on the chipboard.

The Magic Of Oz

The Magic of Oz

Welcome to the month were some of us like to celebrate all things Halloween!!

I would like to share with you a layout I have completed this month featuring my gorgeous niece Rochelle.

A couple of years ago she went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for book week.

So naturally I had to use the beautiful papers from Graphic 45

The Magic of Oz

I have used a few chipboard pieces from Scrapmatts for this layout.

These pictures show where I have used the

CB5188 Doorway Set, CB5139 String Circles,

CB5131 Bubbles and the MC1013 Micro Chips.

To create the layers, I have fussy cut up one of the sheets and placed over the base sheet.

I have chosen to leave the Doorway frame, bubbles and string circles raw but I have coloured the micro chips with Archival Black Ink.

I have used the little film frames to showcase the faces.

I used these as reference to the Wizard of Oz being a movie.

To create this layout I have used the following chipboard
