September Creating with Lizzy

Hello there! How are you today? It is Spring and my garden is singing with blooms and bees and I love it!

So I have a layout with a spring feel to it to share with you today. In September there is in Toowoomba a Carnival called "the Carnival of Flowers' and there are many private gardens as well as the Parks that are especially prepared for this time. For todays layout I am using a photo of my Daughter sitting in front of a beautiful bed of Lavender taken quite a years ago during the Carnival of Flowers.

and I will share some closer views of the lovely Scrapmatts products I have used.

I stenciled some leaves onto the background for some interest.. I had some Federations Corners that I painted with white acrylic paint and popped them in the corners of the background page.. I also wiped some white gesso around the edges with my finger. The leaf spray was painted with water colors.. I did lots of layers of the water colors to bring up the color.

This is a close up of the layered Design, the bottom piece was painted with the purple and the top piece was painted with white.. It makes a lovely contrast. My title came from the Assorted Words pack.

I thought this Flower sprig worked well on my page.

On the other side of my photo I used the Lavender Spray and those sweet little butterflies were from that pack too.

and my layout..

humm I can almost smell the lavender!!

Here is a list of the Scrapmatts products I have used on my layout.

Flowers Love Little Girls

Flowers Love Little Girls

Good Morning

Here is my latest work for Scrapmatts DT
Flowers Love Little Girls

This layout features the new word title

It also showcases the beautiful Wildflowers chipboard.
I have left it raw, as I wanted it to be seen among the flowers.
The flowers are from Toko Central in Bali.

Special Moments

This is my second layout 'Special Moments' I have created with more gorgeous Scrapmatts chipboard and again I have stayed with the Stargazer papers from Kaisercraft.

This time I have left some of the chipboard raw and then used a Wink of Stella Black pen to colour the lamp post, butterflies and flowers.

I love the picket fence and wanted to create a garden feel to the layout.
The butterflies are included in the picket fence chipboard.

Chipboard used in this layout.

Time is Pressing - with Rikki Graziani

Good Morning how are you all?  Rikki here and no doubt insanely busy as the festive season is nearly here. The kids are getting excited and we are enjoying the  start of the holidays. Hence my inspiration for my first share - Time is pressing........

I have to say I am very happy with the results of this canvas, and whats not to love ?

Now for my second piece, I was very lucky this year to demo for Scrapmatts when they visited us in Perth, where I got to play with Tim Holtz Oxcides..... ohhh how I loved playing with them for the three day that I had to just get a set for me....

When inking through a stencil rather than wipe the ink away why dont you mist it with some water and use it as a stamp to get the negative image.
