Happy Scrapbook Expo everyone !

Well it's that time of the year again as the mass descent into Southbank Brisbane happens - yes it's Scrapbook Expo 2014! I've pre-booked this post as we will be merrily half way through the weekend when my post is due to go live and I might be just a little bit busy (it doesn't help that I'll be away from my PC either I guess!)
I've had a play with one of the new Shadow Boxes which are available in all sorts of sizes and colours and so much fun to play with:

Using Scrapmatts Shadow Box with Scrapwords CB1191 and CB1198, Alphabet Flag CB6084 and Charms Filigree Wrap CH006, Filigree #1 CH002 and Heart Lock CH019

I also had a play with the monthly tags that the Design Team are making each month. I seem to have gone along with a vintage theme since I started at the beginning of the year so I figure I might as well keep going :)

OLD WORLD CHARM

Vintage old world charm is an inspiring theme. I love the images and colours of this

genre. I have chosen to make my projects for this blog post with a vintage

flair. I steered away from altered art for my first two projects, of course it would

not be me if i didn't incorporate something altered.

Winter is here!

Hello Scrapmatts fans, Renee here to share some of my new creativeness using the Scrapmatts goodies!

First up here is a Triple window Shadow Box being released at the Scrapbook Expo this coming weekend

For this one I have used the NEW Shadow boxes and the extra chippies are from CB4062 Screens 02.

Next I have to share with you a layout I completed for last months white with one challenge.

Winter Creating and Shadow Boxes

Hi, Anne here to share a couple of creations I have made.

Firstly here is a Wintry Layout featuring some fabulous Scrapmatts Chipboard snowflakes.

Then I have been creating up a storm with NEW Shadow Boxes. Here is a vintage inspired shadow box.

Then I made this fun Owl Box.

I hope you have liked what I created, and I will be sharing some of what inspires me, at the Scrapbooking and Papercraft show, on NEXT weekend and the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Center. Scrapmatts projects and tag tutorial

Hi there! I'd like to share a few works I've made with Scrapmatts chipboards, and a small tutorial for altering your chipboard tags

First I made a romantic layout. I was looking forward to using the border chippie (CB2004 Page Borders 03) and I thought it was the perfect picture for it. I gave it a coat of gesso, painted it with white acrylic paint and embossed a script stamp with clear embossing powder. Finally, I painted it again with twinkling h2o, leaving the embossed areas white.

Here I used CB2004 Page Borders 03,CB5112 Hanging Hearts 01 ,CB1107 Clocks 08,CH064 Keys #3, CB4061 Assorted Words 17, CB1220 Ornate Frames 22

I also altered the gorgeous Mini Tray (CB6094 Mini Tray Stamp 01). It's so tiny and cute! I used some sewing themed chiboards to decorate it, it's going to be a gift form my mother and she likes sewing and knitting.
