When life throws you lemons, make lemonade

Hello everyone

Well its scary times for so many of us at the moment, 2020 has definitely not been the year we thought it would be.    However I'm sure so many of you are making good use of this isolation time to get some much needed crafting done.  At least art lets us escape from the world, even if only for a moment.

Sharing today with you all is two pages I recently created, first up is a real industrious style of page, loads of embossing and waxing products used to give a real metal look on the chippies.

 On this close up you can see the embossing  I've done with on the gears,  a silver & green powder followed by some Prima Wax.

I've used two different chipboard packs for this one, I was wanting the smaller gears for layering so have chopped the chain away on the bottom ones.

My next page I've just used one of the dress forms snipping away the parts I didn't want and then covered it with some decorative paper, finishing with a bow.

This is what I love about chipboard its so versatile, from covering it with paper to embossing with powders you can add your own style.

Ningaloo memories

Hi everyone and welcome to my Scrapmatts DT post for March.

Today I have two more layouts from my trip to Ningaloo Reef last May.  Think this may be the last of them!

My first layout is from my swim with the Whale Sharks.  This was such an awesome experience and on definitely worth doing if you ever have the opportunity.

My last layout for this trip is from our final dinner.  Its amazing how 9 strangers can get on so well.  I love how the beautiful Coco Vanilla papers work so well with Scrapmatts chipboard!

Hello there!
So lovely you have come by to find some inspiration as you create with your Scrapmatts.
I have a layout and a card to share with you today..

When I went looking for some papers to use for my layout I found these pretty papers from Prima and I thought they would be perfect for the beautiful Doorway Chipboard I wanted to use..
So I will share some closer views and then I will tell you what Scrapmatts I have used..

How pretty this Frame is, and I simply painted it in white paint.. I think those flourishes are so elegant!!

I painted some chipboard flowers in gold and popped a rhinestone in the centre and added them to my flowers..

I fussy cut flowers from the papers and added them to the signboard, which was also painted white..

and my layout..

I love how the Doorway frames my photo so beautifully..  and here is a list of the Scrapmatts I have used..

Welcome to March

My favourite month of the year.

My Birthday Month!!

I just celebrated 48 years young!!

So this month I am sharing a double page layout with you using some fabulous Scrapmatts chipboard and the gorgeous papers from Uniquely Creative called Urban Garden.

I wanted to celebrate my gorgeous Family & Friends and what better way than to scrapbook them!!!

Kim here with you today to share with you all a layout and gift tag I have created using some gorgeous products from Scrapmatts.

First I will share with you my layout.

 As we live in regional NSW, sometimes the closest we get to the beach is a paddle pool! And let's face it as long as you can cool down it's all good. The photo is of my 2 grandsons.

 I have used a combination of stencil work, lace and chipboard for a fun little take on some summer time fun.
