January Creating with Lizzy.

Happy New Year! I hope your New Year has begun well with time for doing the things that make your soul happy! and for me that means getting into my Scrap space and doing some creating!

I have a layout and a card to share with you this month.. I remembered to have my camera on my desk as I created and I have taken some photos of my layout process! This layout is full of my favorite things, a special  photo,  pretty chipboard pieces and a bit of mixed media!! I have used the papers from Kaisercraft "Flower Shoppe", These papers have a page that has lots of butterflies and I thought I would do something a bit different with a few fussy cut butterflies.. I found some Scrapmatts butterflies that were around the same size as the fussy cut butterflies and I thought I would layer them for some dimension.

I took inspiration from the colors on  the papers and used water color paint to color the chipboard butterflies. A couple of orange, and one blue.

I layered the paper butterflies on the chipboard ones and lifted up the wings for dimension.

I put them aside and I laid down some strips of paper for the foundation of my page. I did some stencilling on the back ground with the pretty Butterflies and flowers stencil. I flicked some water color paint around too.. Lace on the sides for texture.

I then placed my photo where I wanted it and embellished my layout with fussy cut flowers, die cuts and popped a title on it and then put the butterflies where I thought they looked best..

The Chipboard frame was painted with the same water color as the chipboard butterflies.

The title was painted with the two colors to make it pop!

and my layout..

and here is a list of the Scrapmatts I have used..

ST9041 Flowers Stencil

LL013 Lace

CT028 Beautiful Girl

CB4006 Frames 01

(the Butterflies)

CB4072 wildflowers 01

And while I had these papers out I thought I would make a card, it is always a good idea to have a few cards ready to send..

I wanted to make a feminine card so I thought I would use a Dress Form as a feature.

I traced around the body of the Dress Form to make the top and pleated some paper for the skirt.

and I used a gel pen to color the Chip board sentiment.

and my card..

and here are the Scrapmatts I have used on my card.

Friends Forever, Always Together - By Crece Thomas

Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Today I would like to share with you a layout I have recently created using some Scrapmatts chipboard.

Friends Forever, Always Together

And here are some close ups

I love the Leather Look Scrapwords, they are a great addition to a male themed layout, and go great with this colour scheme I have used for the layout.

The Theme pack is great to use to add a little cluster by combining it with other embellishments, here I have used the words 'besties' from CB1251, a ruler sticker and a Brothers Flair.
I hvae used Prima Waxes to colour the chipboard pieces.
CB188 Theme Pack 01

I would normally use the Barbed Wire as a Frame around a photo, but I decided to cut it in half and add it as an accent to my page, rather than a HUGE frame around the photos. It suits the theme of my layout well with its masculine look.

Christmas pages

 Hello again my lovelies.

Gosh the time has gone so quick from my last post to this one.

Today I would like to share 2 pages that I did from photos that were taken Christmas 2019.

The first is of the newest member of my friends family, Finlay who lives in Melbourne with his parents and grandparents. This was the first time that we had meant him and it was so special.

For this page I used the Star Stencil and some blue ink that I used to ink

some random little stars from it across the bottom of the page and around the edge of the photo.

PRODUCTS USED

Star Stencil

Snowflakes

Christmas Ornaments

My second page is the same family showing all 4 Generations, it is so rare that everyone is all together so it was the perfect opportunity for a photo shoot,

Again I used a stencil and inked through it with coffee coloured ink, just to add some interest to the background

PRODUCTS USED

A5 Brick Stencil

Four generations

Thanks all for looking.
hugs and love

Beach Babes

This summer will be filled with trips to the beach for our family ... its one of our favourite ways to spend a day - so as you might imagine I end up with millions of beach themed photos!

In order to try and keep my albums fresh I'm always trying to come up with ideas for beachy layouts that don't necessarily have the blue/sea shell/lighthouse etc themes central to them. Here are a couple i came up with recently...

Using this stencil allowed me to pull in the exact colours I was after on this layout.

... you can't go wrong with anything leafy and tropical on beach pages.

And of course some times you end up with beach photos that have none of the common costal colours in them just the sandy tones ... this is my attempt to work with that kind of image...

Sun sets and dark silhouettes work perfectly together!

Raw chipboard is the perfect base colour to blend with sandy scapes.

I love this template for sandy pages - because it fully reminds me of the little balls of sand that crabs roll onto the beach each day ( as a kid I would love to collect them, doing my best to pick them all up without breaking them lol)💛

Here I've used both black ink and a white pen to make a messy ball pattern on the page.

I hope there is some inspiration in that lot for your own beach pages xo

Cheers, Kel xo
