April Creations with Tania

Hello there!

Tania joining you today to share some creations for my DT work for April using lots of beautiful Scrapmatts goodies!!!

My first share for this month is a layout.

"Love that Smile"

I used the Patterns stencil to add some sparkly texture to my background.  Added distressed patterned paper layers under my photo.  I altered the chipboard page borders and butterflies using Colour Blast's Bling texture paste.  Once the page borders were stuck down alongside my photo I added lots of gorgeous blooms along the bottom edge of my photo.  Used some Scrap Words for my title and finished off the page with a sprinkle of Prima art stones here and there.

Some close ups......

My second share is a card!

"Happy Birthday"

Yes as you probably guessed more distressed paper layers made up the front of my card.  I used one of the Wildflower circles on the front in the white finish and added a couple more of the flowers around the circle too.  I embellished the centre of the card with some gorgeous Prima flowers,  tore up some netting trim which I tucked in around the flowers and finished with Happy Birthday sentiment from the Scrap Words 29.

A few close ups......

Until next time, happy crafting Tania xx

Inspired By The Seasons

Hi there, it's Christine here posting a couple of Scrapmatts projects inspired by different seasons.  Let's start off with Autumn which has passed months ago in our side of the world.  I miss its beautiful colors and this has inspired me to create a trio of Autumn ATCs.

ATC 1

Scrapmatts Chipboards: Rounded Corner ATCs (ATC10-008); Page Borders (CB2005); Leaves (CB1115); Burnt Cream Scrap Words (CB1238)

Scrapmatts Stencils: Leaves (ST1034); Borders (ST1010)

ATC 2

The Scrapmatts Leaves Stencil is absolutely perfect for any Autumn projects.  For more leafy touches, I've added some Leaves chipboards which I've inked gold.

At the edges of ATCs 1 & 3 are the Page Borders chipboards.  The words are from the Burnt Cream Scrap Words Chipboards.

Now it's time to transition to winter.  I've always wanted to give A4 layouts a go, & here is my first one finally.

Scrapmatts chipboards: Gears (CB1073); Retro Squares (CB5142); Assorted Words (CB6106)

Scrapmatts stencils: Strings (ST1021); Circles (ST5006)

It's winter here in New Zealand which inspired me to create a wintery steely blue layout.

I've given all the chipboards a coat of gesso & colored them each with Tattered Angels mists.  I've used the Strings & Circles Scrapmatts stencils to add some layers of texture to my background.

Thanks for popping in & I hope you enjoyed my post today.  Keep an eye out for more inspiration from the Scrapmatts team.

Scrapmatts with CSI Case Files

Hi everyone! Christine here posting a couple of layouts for Scrapmatts in collaboration with CSI for June.  I solved 2 different case files and of course I used lots of Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils.  Let's have a look at the first case:

I’ve appropriately titled the first layout "Zoom" as my youngest daughter literally zooms her way around with her balance bike…no fear whatsoever!  Red for her energy, circles for the bike wheels, and more colors for her fun loving personality.  This page embodies her and her balance bike to a tee.

Scrapmatts chipboards: Bubbles (CB5131); Circles (CB5152); Assorted Words (CB6106); Scrap Words (CB1238)
Scrapmatts Stencil: Clouds (ST1030)

I’m in love with the new circles chipboard.  Sofie and Andrew are doing a fantastic job creating new chipboard and stencil designs.  I’ve embossed it in different colors to match the green and cantaloupe colors of the case.  Check out the adorable clouds.  Thanks to the clouds stencil it’s easy to add them to your backgrounds.  The cream color on the scrap words chipboards are lovely & these are great for filling up little spaces in your projects.

I’ve used a couple of assorted words chipboards, some painted and some embossed.  I’ve also used the off cut to mat the photos…nothing must go to waste.  I’ve painted the bubbles chipboard in multi color to match the blue, green and yellow shades of the palette.  I love how these bubbles chipboards have dots in them.

So that's the first case solved.  Now it's time to have a look at the second case:

My daughter loves to imagine from a very young age...imaginative play, singing, dancing, acting, etc., so this page is a homage to her.  I've thrown purples in the layout which is her favourite color and also matches the palette of the case.

Scrapmatts Chipboards: Hearts Frame (CB4005), Ornate Frame (CB5002), Birds (CB5045), Page Borders (CB2005), Scrap Words (CB1238), Scrap Words (CB6112)
Scrapmatts Stencils: Strings (ST1021), Circles (ST5006)

How awesome are the new Scrapmatts stencils? The strings stencil would have to be my new favourite.  The ornate frames chipboards are gorgeous and I couldn't resist layering them to feature her photo.  The hearts frame has been painted and the ornate frame has been embossed.

Did I mention how pretty the birds chipboards are? These come in a pack of 2 sets and has separate adorable wings that you can add on top of the chipboard.

I hope you enjoyed my post today.  Do join the CSI case challenges here for the chance to win an amazing Scrapmatts prize pack! Thanks for popping in and I'll see you again next month.

Cheers,
