I Could So Rock This Hair!!!

I Could So Rock This Hair

Scrapmatts

Wow I can't believe its November already. Where has the year gone?
Xmas will be here before we know it.

Today I would like to share with you my latest layout using Scrapmatts Chippy.

Rock this hair

For this layout I have used a few different pieces.
I love the triangles and I decided to use them as a background element by cutting them apart and placing them behind my photo. I have coloured them with Kaisercraft Mist.

For more detail behind the photo I also used the circle mesh and the chain link.

I have splattered black ink on the background and used the Coffee Stain stamp from Kaszazz for added detail.

This layout has been created on Watercolour 12x12 paper.
I have just discovered this paper and the process to create a watercolour background. I'm in love with it. I feel like a painter when I am doing this and believe me I am no watercolour artist!!!
I have added some prima flowers to frame the picture.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have found some inspiration to create

Triangle madness? With Rikki

Good morning Rikki here today and I am showing you how the simple yet stunning Scrapmatts Triangle chipboard can be used in some masculine layouts. I often love a good quick layout and often that will end up being a mixed media background which are a lot of fun to create but then it leads to what should I add to the layout without covering the background.....

This is where a couple of key pieces of chipboard helps.

One of the things I like to do is cut up the larger background pieces and add them around the layout, I mean after all why hide it under your photo. This triangle design was a really easy one to do this to without losing all your details.

Just a little ink and you have a really strong embellishment.

This is a  very similar idea with cutting up your larger chipboard, this design has plenty of detail so its a great idea to plan ahead and think how many cluster you want throughout your layout so you can cut your chipboard down.

The white misted finish on this is a great contrast to the black and there is no prep needed at all, whats better than that?

Till next time, have a creative day.
