Ho Ho Holy Christmas....

 Ho Ho Holy Christmas....

I can't believe that we are only 10 days from Christmas and fast approaching the New Year.

Hello again.
Are we all organised for Christmas?
This month really is the silly season. I have been so busy with work, Christmas parties, appointments, market stalls that I haven't had much time to create.
So it was nice to finally get into my craft space and design.

The first of my projects I would like to share with you is a mini clipboard.

I started by covering with Christmas paper. I think from memory this is a Simple Stories range.
It's been in my Christmas stash for some time.

I then used the ST5042 Star Stencil to add some detail to the background.
With the CB5158 Triangles, I pulled them apart, painted them with Picket Fence Distress Paint and added to them to the background.
When I look at these they resemble Christmas Trees.
To finish off the clipboard, I attached the CB5164 Holly 05 to the top of the frame and added a CB5144 Layered Poinsettia to the bottom of the frame.
The gold Polaroid frame came with the mini clipboard.
To colour the Poinsettia and Holly I used my alcohol ink markers and to give the sparkly effect, I used my glitter pen from CTMH.
To finish off the frame I used the CB Assorted Words 19 - Christmas Memories.
This was inked in Silver.

The picture is of my daughter from a couple of years ago when we had photo booth props to take Christmas pics.

Here is a list of the products used in this project

The second project I would like to share with you is a set of 3 Christmas Cards.

To create these cards I have used watercolour pencils, background stamp, ST1026 - Bubbles Stencil and CB1227 - Christmas Ornaments and CB1229 - Chains

Firstly using watercolour paper, take the stencil and colour inside the circles in your desired colours.
Then take your watercolour pen and water wash the colours.
Then stamp the background.
I then added a border with my black marker pen.

I used the CB1227 - Christmas Ornaments and the CB1229 - Chains 02 to decorate.
Some I have left raw and the others I have inked in Gold and Silver.
I love how these have turned out and they were quick and easy.

These are the products I have used to create these cards

December creating with Lizzy.

Hello there,
I hope your day is going really well..  It is just crazy how quickly the weeks are flying by!! Are you getting ready for Christmas? I have lots to do... but first... some things I have created using wonderful SCRAPMATTS products!

Firstly I have some masculine cards I have created using some fabulous Gears CB1072 01 which I have layered on my card..
I have used two ink pads a brown and a black, any brand would work, and colored the gears to give them an aged look.. I have also cut them in half and popped them under the paper layers.  For the sentiment  I have used a piece from CB1244 SCRAP WORDS 30 and also added some ink around the edges with the inks. I have also used a chain CB1229 CHAINS 02 also inked for an aged look..
My second card is quite similar using a selection of GEARS CB1075 03 on my card..

I love the Gears from Scrapmatts and there is quite a lot to choose from too!

CB1229 CHAINS 02

CB1075 GEARS 03

I have a layout I would like to share with you using some glorious frosty colors with a festive feel.  I have used some simply gorgeous chipboard pieces that I have covered with Kindy Glitz for a sparkley finish.

I love the script words with all the swirls! Here is a closer view..

Can you see the stencilling on the back ground using the Stencil Circles and the Snowflakes? And I must admit I adore the stars too... sigh..

And beside the star is a lovely layered  poinsettia colored with water colors and black gel pen to add details.

Hello from Helen at Scrapmatts

Welcome back , it's lovely to have you come and visit as I showcase the versatile  Scrapmatts products, which add wonderful texture and embellishment to any project.
I chose the chipboard  Triangles to complement the triangle paper.
I coloured them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine, "Coral" and some Ranger UTEE, "Gold"
I scattered some other words around - CB 1189 Scrap Words 01
In keeping with the triangle theme I used Alphabet flags as the title.
A bit about the papers I've used.
The denim border is an oldie from Simple Stories.
The turquoise background is from Crate Paper.
The triangles paper is a new release from Cocoa Vanilla, "Endless Summer"
I like the way they all played nicely together, and highlight the chipboard triangles.

The layout was inspired by a sketch from mascarinashirley.blogspot.ca

I have some journalling on the back of the page.  It reads:-
You two little scamps came with your big brother for a sleep over in the school holidays.
It's about the only time I can nab you together and get a couple of photos.
Out of the dozens I took there was not one with both of you looking good.
You love to joke around, flick your hands in the air, wrestle each other to the ground,
poke your tongues out, close your eyes, screw your noses up
and make and all sorts of crazy faces.
So this photo is a composite of two images - the best of a terribly bad lot!
Love Granny

Because we are in the count down to Christmas I created a gift box
with a mixture of papers and of course lots of Scrapmatts yummies.
Why I chose the busiest time of the year to experiment with making a video
 is utterly beyond my comprehension.
But I wanted to show you the mechanism of the box.   Bad idea!
It's taken me days and I'm not sure it's something I would care to do again,
but here it is, with my long suffering husband's help. Ta Dah!!!

It has lots of flaws, but in the spirit of Christmas,
I know you will be tolerant of my first effort.

Do you use Scrapmatts products?
Why not upload your projects on to the Gallery so we can leave you some love.
Thanks for calling in and for any comments you care to leave,  I love reading them.
Wishing you a safe and Happy Christmas
and I look forward to seeing you again in January.

Christmas Ornaments By Rhonda

Christmas is fast approaching so what better to be doing
than a few little keepsake ornaments for the tree.
The lovely and ever dynamic duo of Andrew & Sofie that
are Scrapmatts make life easy when it comes to
Xmas with their wide selection of chippies.

The first I did this month was this lovely CB5119 Hanging Star 02
on to which I added CB5079 3D Ornaments 05 to enhance the hanging effect.

Silent Night - Joy & Peace

I decorated it on both sides in differing styles but connected a
swivel in a couple of places to allow the pieces
to turn without tangling.

Although both sides of the smaller central star are gold
I continued with the theme of differing styles
to compliment each side.

This picture gives a look at the completed view.

A Very Merry Christmas

The square printer tray was sent by Sofie as a challenge
and I instantly saw yet another opportunity to adorn it with
Xmas pictures of my little lovelies.

The Very Merry Christmas bauble of CB1228 Christmas
Ornaments 14 just fell into place at the
junction of the frame borders.
Although I filled most of the squares with pics of my children
I just had to showcase the all NEW CB5164 Holly 05

The final one was just a real quickie because I had
some wee little photos of my loved one's sitting on the
craft table jumping out at me to do something with them.
Again, all the little bits and bobs from Scrapmatts
made this fun and I will enjoy watching them
dangle from the tree over the festive season.
