Sea layouts by Elena Smoktunova

 Hello friends!
Summer is in full swing and many are now resting on the sea, and of course the most relevant topic is the Sea! I made just two pages on the sea theme. But I performed on the instructions of the blog CSI and wonderful chipboard! It's a lot here and I specially left it raw, I thought it would look more successful.

Both projects are made on the palette, but still, each on a marine theme.

As a basis I took the usual white cardboard, but the background I have serves as a spray! Look how beautiful it is!

The second project is also on white cardboard, and the background is also made with sprays.

Close To My Heart Canvas by Novita Ferris

Hello everyone,

Novita here with you today to share a creation for Scrapmatts. This time I have a canvas to share with you all....

"CLOSE TO MY HEART"

For this creation I have used the gorgeous frame chipboard and photo of my lovely sister and I that taken few years ago when I back home to visit my family.

And here are the close ups.....

I used lots of  different medium to create my background, including stencilling, stamping and art stones too. I started by coating the canvas area with black gesso. Once the canvas was dried, I used stencil and sponged heavy white gesso and I painted the background with some colours and then I added some random stamping with white ink colour.

As a finishing touch, with my finger I applied random some white gesso and ink colours in all of the edges of the chipboards to give a softer effect.

Well that's all from me today.
I hope you like what I made and will feel motivated to get creative.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you pop over to have a look the great new chipboards and stencils at the SCRAPMATTS online store.
Until next time,

 Happy scrapping xx

Calm and Tranquil

Hello and welcome

Its a gorgeous morning here in Sunny QLD.

I love these cooler mornings and after just spending 10 days in Tassie where most days it only reached 10 degrees, I don't want to hear anyone complain how cold it is here.

After having a quick browse back through all the other Design Team's work I realised we must be hoping these warmer days come back quick as we have all been scrapping seaside pics.

I chose a picture my friend snapped of me when we were out on the boat, love when we get the opportunity to spend the day out on the ocean.  I find it so relaxing and peaceful.

In the close ups you can see I've used one of the small Stencils 9003 Circles with some beautiful coloured textured paste.  I have also embossed using Lindy's Stamp Gangs embossing powder to give these coral pieces a lift.

On the close up here, you can see I have lightly applied some gesso to the Scrapmatts netting.

Well fellow crafters that is all from this month, I hope you've enjoyed my share and it has inspired you to get creative with your Scrapmatts products.  Until next time, bye!!!

Welcome Aboard

Hello and welcome again.
Today I would like to share with you my take on the CSI Challenge Case 258. for July.
Submissions need to be submitted by July 31st.

 CSI Challenge Case 258

My inspiration for this challenge was this clock I found on one of my shopping trips to the Salvo's.

I was inspired by the Scene.
This clock reminded me of our recent cruise.

I decided to turn it into a photo frame.
The photo matt is actually a sick bag from my scavenger hunt for our scrapbook challenges.
It is attached in place with the nautical paperclips, so that it can be removed and then used as a clock.

All the chipboard used is available from Scrapmatts.
I have also used some twine, shells and starfish (old hanger) and some art stones.
