Magical Moments

Magic happens right!?

It does for me when I get a few good hours to sit down and get creative ๐Ÿ’•

Watercolours, flowers, gold ink, bling, butterflies and unicorns are the inspirations for this months project.

This layout of my daughter and myself probably looks better in real life with the light catching on all the Bling on the page. These Acrylic Craft Gems are just that bit more sparkly that traditional rhinestones - I think they bring a very pretty and whimsical look to projects.

My favourite technique for adding bling is to cluster the rhinestones in sets of three different sizes.

These simple quick titles are a must on almost all my layouts lately... this one was VERY simple.
I coloured it with a black marker and hit it with a white pen to create shine lines...
 - it's an old trick but a good one!! ๐Ÿ‘

Title - CT049

CB2009 - Page borders 08  &  CB1020 - Card Borders 03
.

I jazzed these groovy chipboards up with some gold ink.

And for the background I used these stencils with watercolour paints to pull in the colours that you can see in my daughters outfit from the photo.

I also ran the watercolour paint through the leaves stencil over the edges of the page and then,
using the same colours, added hearts to the background. ๐Ÿงก

And thats my share for this month.
I hope you are all going well and treating yourself to some crafty moments as well.

Cheers from Kel

Safari Steampunk

Hi I've managed to get 2 layouts done this month with my Scrapmatts chipboard and stencils I loved the clash of cogs, floral and safari in these papers. It seemed to balance out the photo well of my friend and her 2 boys Ive done a little bit of stencilling in the background just using ink, a sponge and the stencil. The papers were just screaming to be fussy cut and layered, which is just perfect for me. The chipboard was simply inked with a few different shades of brow and a couple of the pieces were finished with glossy accents.

Lots of Layers with Heather

Good morning This month I did this layout using this beautiful photo of my beautiful niece. I used the Scrapmatts stencils in the background using texture pastes. Then fussy cut and layered the papers to match my photo. I left the Scrapmatts chipboard pieces in the raw this time so that they stood out rather than blending into the background To finish it off I added a few bling squares and covered some of the fussy cut pink flowers with glossy accents

October Scrapping

Hi everyone

Can't believe it is October already.  What a strange year we have had!

I have two layouts to share today from recent Challenges.

The first one was the September Kraft+ challenge to use Chalk!!  After the initial shock, and getting some inspiration from their Design Team I dug out my chalks and came up with this layout.

This first layout is of my beautiful Scrappy friends. Sydney has just been locked down - the cafe we booked was closed, it was raining so a picnic was off the cards! So we ended up at  Spotlight and Sushi in the closed foodcourt.

I used chalk over texture paste through the doily stencil, then hit it with some hairspray to set it.  Love how it turned out and love these girls!

My next layout was for White with 1 for September.  Orange is my favourite colour!

Until next month,

Happy Scrapping

October Creating with Lizzy.

Hello there! Here we are in October and I am popping in to share what I have created this month for Scrapmatts!

I have a Card and Layout to share with you.

The card I have created has one of my favorite frames as centerpiece..  I have left it in its raw state..

A closer view..

The leaves I have shaded  with glitter gel pens until I was happy with the colors.

A simple but pretty card and easy to post as it is quite flat too..  I will pop this into my card collection for an upcoming Birthday ready to send!!

And here is a list of the Scrapmatts I have used on my card..

CB1244 Scrap Words 30

CB6090 Ornate Frames 18

CB5166 Leaf Spray 15

The layout I have created uses the bigger frame from the Ornate Frame pack and I just patted the frame lightly with a white stamp pad to lighten it a little..

some closer views..

I have used some lace and layered the Floral Spray over that and popped a fussy cut rose from the papers on that. The Scrap Words are always handy to have in your stash to pop on your page.

A touch of stencilling on the back ground to add some interest.. and some liquid pearls on the Floral Spray to add some dimension to the Chipboard.
