Shaker Layout

Good morning This month I found these beautiful papers in my stash, and I've taken inspiration from a layout that I saw the lovely Hetty Hall do a few years ago, and I've made a shaker scrapbook page.
I started by cutting the hole in the page (the design already had the circle shape in it, so it made it very easy). I then attached a sheet of acetate to the back of the page. I found a coordinating sheet to go behind and I cut it so that it was larger than the hole that I'd cut. Around the hole I did 2 layers of foam tape with no gaps. On the back piece I put a pile of different colour sequins then attach the top page to it. I then fussy cut out a clock and lots of flowers from some of the other pages and attached them to the page using different levels of foam tape. I also cut in half and tucked in some of the 6 lace Flowers LM019.
The light posts (CB4028 Lamp Posts 07) were done with a silver texta and a white gel pen.
The leaf sprays (CB5082 Leaf Spray 02) I cut into smaller pieces, then coloured with a white gel pen, then on half I used a clear Nuvo Drops and the other half I used a pale blue Nuvo Drops. The title (CB6088 Assorted Words 16) also has a light layer of the blue Nuvo Drops.
I have also created this matching birthday card.
I used CB129 Card Elements 006 for the centre circle and flowers
I have just simply used my white gel pen to cover them in white. I have also added the CB5082 Leaf Sprays 02 to the top and bottom of the main focal piece. I used white Nuvo Drops on these
Right in the centre of the card I have used one of the Lace Flowers (LM019) and the Happy Birthday sentiment from CB6100 Words 29
I hope that I have been able to inspire you as Hetty inspired me. These shaker pages are such a simple and elegant way to bring a bit of movement and bling to your pages. Heather

October Scrapping

Hi everyone, Lisette here with my October layouts.

Hubby and I have just had a lovely holiday exploring country and costal Victoria.  I am sure I will be sharing lots of layouts from our trip in the next few months. Unfortunately much of the area we visited, is now flooded.  Thoughts and hugs to those effected by these floods.`

I also forgot all about my September post 😞.

Life has been so busy lately but I managed to do a couple of layouts from September challenges.

The first one is from White with 1.  I am definitely not a fan of Purple, but actually quite like this layout.

My second layout is from a Kraft+ challenge.  All about spring. These photos were taken last spring after a wet winter.  Its still too rainy for early blooms this year!

I am very excited as I am attending a Scrapbooking Retreat in a couple of weeks.  Looking forward to getting a number of layouts done with Scrapmatts products.  Keep an eye out for those over the next few months.

Hopefully my layouts have given you some inspiration using Scrapmatts Chipboard and Stencils.

Until next time, stay safe and Happy Scrapping!

Friends Always - With Crece Thoma

Hello Scrapmatts fans, Crece here with you today to share a layout i had been working on using some Scrapmatts chipboard pieces and a stencil.

I created this layout using a photo of my cousin and her puppy.

Friends Always

Here are some close ups of the Scrapmatts products used on this layout.

When I used the Gum Leaf stencil, I used some Tim Holtz Grit paste to add some extra texture.
I coloured the words 'Friends Always' with a brownish-gold ink to keep it earthy.
The Windmill was raw chipboard, while the wire mesh chipboard pieces I used were in White Mist, and uncoloured.

Make sure to come back soon and watch for more inspiration for the design team.

As time goes by

Well welcome again all my lovelies.

This month I have done almost a double layout but I don't think it really is, what do you think?

The pics I have used are of my Great Grandmother, Annie, the first page shows her when she was 17 and I don't know her age in the second. I have been very lucky that I have a copy of her marriage certificate which shows that she married my Great Grandfather, Harry, when she was 19. She passed in 1963 when I was only 3 so I don't have any memory of her and very much doubt that I ever met her.

On the chipboard I used a couple of different colours of ink and found that white was perfect for the doors either side of the pic. The little green leaves are from the chipboard set that I have used on the next page. Also, I found that a bit of ink around the page  adds to that bit of a vintage feel.

Older Annie

With the exception of the title I have kept the rest of the chipboard raw, I think it works so well with the colours in the paper and the feel of the pic. On the bottom right is a little envelope which holds a small tag with all the details about Annie and her marriage on it. Some muslin, something I know Sofie likes, which I very lightly inked adds to the vintage feel. I used a stencil with texture paste but felt it was too stark, so I repositioned it back over the stencil and lightly inked with the same colour I used on the muslin. The small String Circles from the set was cut in half and off centered either side of the pic. I liked how the bling looked on the previous page so added some to this. Two of the lace motiffs were cut in half and tucked under the cluster in the top left corner and bottom right of the pic.

Well that is all for me for this month.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing a little bit of my past, I have a lot more old pics that I want to scrap but these will be future projects.
Next month, hmmm, what could I have up my sleeve, or should I say chimney.

Until then hugs and love
