Getting Christmas Started

Good morning I hope that you have all had a fun and crafty month. This month I've done a couple of Christmas cards, yep, Christmas. When I've been teaching I've already had people asking for it.
I had these Snowflakes (CB1178 Snowflakes 01) for a little while, and when I found this very cute dog stamp set with their winter woolies on, I knew that the snowflakes would be perfect. I simply painted them with white paint and then used a sponge to apply Stickles Glitter Gel over the top.
The titles are from CB6111 Assorted Words 27. For the DL card I used a gold pen to colour in the words and the standard card I just used a blue texta. I then gave all the titles a layer of glossy accents to make them shine.
The circles on the cards are simply done by masking out some circles and blending in some Distress Oxide Inks and finishing off with a bit of glitter - we all need extra glitter at Christmas time. The stamped images are coloured in using copic markers, but could just as easily be done with colour pencils, water colour, or any other medium in your stash. I hope that this inspires you to get a head start on your Christmas cards. See you next month. Heather

August Scrapping

Hi everyone,  Lisette here with a couple of layouts for you.

These last few months are always a busy time in our household, but hubby and I did manage to escape for a weekend to visit my parents who live up the coast.  I just love where they live!  Black Head Beach is one of my favourite beaches.

I have always wanted to see the sunrise over the beach, but have never got myself up in time.  As sunrise was just before 7am in July, I had no excuses!

I often use past challenges as inspiration for my layouts.  This was a White with 1 challenge from a couple of months ago.  White plus neutral colours.  It fit perfectly with this photo.

It is very rare to get a photo of mum and dad. We had a lovely lunch in Forster, and of course it was the perfect opportunity for a photo!  I haven't done a flowery layout for a long time.  Loved doing this one.  Totally inspired by the paper I chose.

Until next time

Kim's Creations for August 2022

Hello...hello!

Kim here with you today, after a couple of months!

(Sorry about that!)

July was not a good month, I had wonderful plans but then.....

Covid hit our household & my father became unwell.

Anyway, here I am with a couple of layouts to share with you all.

The first is a layout of my father, way back when he had just finished his Basic Training at Kapooka in NSW

Let me show you!

[Private]

Creating a masculine layout is so easy using Scrapmatts products.

My Photo is a photo of a photo and I zoomed in as I really only wanted my father in the photo, so it is pretty grainy but I still decided to use it.

The next project I would like to share is one of my daughter, Madison.

As you can see I am a big fan of layering...but instead of using foam tape I prefer to use cardboard! Just cardboard cut from craft supply boxes.

Happy July Crafting

 Hello again my lovelies.

Today I have to share with you 5 cards that I have made using some leftove bits and pieces of Scrapmatts gorgeous chippy pieces from previous projects. These were all the right size for a mixed selection of cards.

Most of the pieces I kept raw but some were inked with green, pink and brown, behind the card with the gum leaves I used a stencil just to add that little bit extra, as well as one as another beautiful floral stencil behind the card with the flower in the center. This stencil is the perfect size for a smaller project. Also some of the pretty lace that is available in the store.

Well that is all from me for this month.

Next month well, something very different is planned, you could almost say it's animalistic???

Looking forward to sharing.

Until then hugs and love
