summer layout+soft passport cover

Hi dear scrappers!
Today I have for you two projects to show.
First layout about our vacation in Crimea last year. For it I used different details like dots, stickers and of course Scrapmatts chipies.
I think the air baloon, ancor and frame are perfect touch for my project :)

Ancor as a part of word :)

The second project is my first ever soft passport cover.

For it I used  very unusual and unique fabric with  embroidery and beautiful birdcage

Have a nice day!

Brotherly Love with Tracey Fowler

Whilst we were on holidays back in April and travelling around parts of Victoria & South Australia I had managed to get some great shots of my cheeky boys!  I just love this photo that I have used on this layout as it really reflects the relationship that the boys share.  Just like most siblings they argue at times but  deep down they are best friends and love hanging out with each other.

"Mates"

I have painted the CB8007 Layered Fob Watch in an antique white and then cut it in half  and positioned under the photo.  To create the background of this layout I have used a stencil with alphabet, antique embossing powder, pearl embossing powder and distress ink.
I have also used a personal favourite of mine CB1189 Scrapwords. These little words are a perfect addition to any project.

"Comic" Tag

This is my monthly tag for May.  When I was went to CHA in 2013 a few friends and I managed to do some shopping in some of the vintage shops in Orange C.A.  We certainly found some goodies just a shame we had a weight limit for our cases as we could have bought so much more home.
I found some old comic books and have created this tag using the paper.

I have used the following Scrapmatts goodies to create this tag.  CB3007 Tags,  CB6001 Film StripsCB1212 Scrap WordsCH030 Arrows

"Live Life" Mini Tray

This is my final project that I have to share with you today. I have created a mini printers tray using CB3005 Mini Tray Round, left over bits from the  CB8007 Layered Fob Watch that I used in my layout above, CB1189 Scrapwords and CB1158 Butterflies and the cute little clock and key charm CH062 Keys , CH037 Fob Watch.

Happy Scrapping

More From Lisa!!

Hi, it's Lisa with you today. I have my last blog post for you as a Scrapmatts Guest Designer.
Thank you for having me, I have enjoyed myself so much and have had a blast using this amazing chipboard. Thank you.

Today this blog post is all about sharing the love, seeing as I have loved my time here so much.
I made this layout using a photo of me with my best girlie. My daughter Hollie.

Now I love this chipboard so much, that to be honest, you don't have to go to all the effort of transforming it every time, as the detail is just so good, it looks just as good 'naked'.
So that's exactly what I've done today, I've left it natural.

And what I also love is that there is no wastage.
Look, I've even used the negative piece from the chevrons behind my photo. Nothing has been thrown away. How cool is that?!!

And finally I've finished off this layout with these cute butterflies.

Here's a little list of the chipboard that I have used:

Assorted Words - CB6095
Scrapwords - CB1190
Butterflies - CB1158
Birds - CB5045
Chevrons - CB5106

Thanks again for having me these past couple of months.

Marvellous May

Hello again! Have you ever had that LO that you thought you knew where you wanted to go but it fought you every step of the way? That was the way it was going with my first layout, 'Oh Happy Day', so I tossed everything but the photo and the chipboard vine to start all over again in a new direction. I think it's a bit different to my normal work but I love the end result.

The chipboard vine is a stunning piece which I've had in my stash for so long as I really wanted to feature it on a LO. I trimmed the longest bit of the branch and stuck it above the rest to work better on my page. I have also used one of the new arrow pieces, a filmstrip ATC piece, some left over vines and a charm which I spray painted black. I like the contrast of the black against the more subtle inks.

Scrapmatts used: CB4034 Floral Design 01, CB3001 Film Strips 03, CB6095 Assorted Words 18, CB6086 Twig Frame 01, CH075 Charm.

For my second LO this month I decided to only use one chipboard design because the CB8001 Circles 01 design is so versatile I didn't need any others. This comes as a 12x12 sheet with 29 different circle pieces. The photos come from a 2005 holiday I took with Ben back in the day when I was still using film rather than a digital camera.

For the circles I selected the various sizes I wanted, ran them through an embossing folder to add texture, swipped some distress ink over the top to highlight the pattern and then lightly misted them as add some sparkle and activate the distress ink. The detail shot gives you a bit more of an idea of the end effect.

Hope you enjoyed these two projects. Don't forget to share your own work with us over at the Ning site or on Facebook. I look forward to see you again next month!
