Christmas Joy

Good afternoon, Crece here with you today on teh blog...Not too many sleeps to go till the Jolly man in a Red suit comes to visit...so I thought I would sahre with you one final Christmas piece I have created featuring some Scrapmatts Chipboard and Charms.

 JOY doorknob Hanging

The base of this doorknob hanging started with some Scrapmatts ATC shapes

ATC10-010 Bracket 01

After applying some tissue paper, dylusions and Inka Gold (silver) I came up with the awesome  background..

below is a close up of the 'J'

I heat embossed the charms using some silver embossing powder. The 'J' was coloured using some Inka Gold (Turquoise)
I decided to put some Muslin under the charm to soften the look.
To finish off, in the top right hand corner I added some Holly and used some Sticky bling for the berries.

The same process was followed for the rest ... 'O' and 'Y'.

I made holes in the middle of each ATC so I could thread some silver ribbon through and make a loop so this could hang off a doorknob.

Scrapmatts Items used for this project...

Thanks for stopping by and having a look. The DT love to see what you create using Scrapmatts items, so please upload your project to our gallery...and while you are there have a look at some amazing inspiration from the team.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2015 xxx

Off the Page

Hello December,

Only 15 days left until Christmas. Are you organised? I'm not.

But I have been keeping up with my December Daily... although to be honest I prefer to take some of the pressure out of it and don't necessarily do a daily page if nothing interesting has happened and my December has been quite uneventful this year, with the exception of a certain little miss turning 2.

Here are my mini tag album pages so far:

As I have committed to a handmade Christmas this year, unfortunately most of my DIY time otherwise has been going to non scrapbooking related craftiness however I realised I never shared a particular creation back a while ago that is pretty special to me.

In 2013 I submitted an entry to the Scrapbooking Memories masters competition. I didn't have any expectations but was pretty stoked to get an honourable mention on my calendar item.

As you can see below, it was created using a recycled tin suitcase with recycled cardboard calendar cards that clip on the front. I love how it turned out so it was lovely to have it featured in the honourable mention section for 2013.

As you can see, there is lots of Scrapmatts goodness on it, including each calendar card and around the suitcase.

Anyway, wishing you all a very merry Christmas and safe holiday period this December.

Holly x

That time of year...

You can feel it in the air - Christmas is coming! Now I just need to keep repeating to myself that I WILL be organised this year ;) One thing that is organised is my Christmas creating and it is certainly helped along by some gorgeous new Christmas releases at Scrapmatts. I absolutely adore the new Christmas Ornaments - how cute are these?!!!

I had so much fun making some tags for last months post I decided to keep the white and silver theme going and create some matching tags but add in a pop of red this time:

December Scrappings!

Hello Scrapmatts fans!

Renee here with some recent scrappings I have created using Scrapmatts goodies!

First up I created a quick and easy Christmas card:

I have used CB1225 Pine Sprig 01 and covered it with sparkliness! I then have used CB6098 Words 27 Merry Christmas to add the Christmas sediment :)

Next here a few layouts I have made using CB4063 Leaf Spray 13 to show you how versatile it can be:

Anne

You may recognize the Lovely Anne Patterson as the subject for this layout! I have used a couple of pieces from CB4063 Leaf Spray 13, gessoed them and then simply higlighted with inka gold.

Tranquility

Again I have used CB4063 Leaf Spray 13 but I have gone to town with the extra thick embossing powder. I have also done the same treatment on the tranquility title from CB6087 Assorted Words 15

Lastly I will finish up with this one:

Shark boy on 2 wheels

On this one I have used  CB6095 Assorted Words 18CB1072 Gears 01,                   CB1075 Gears 03

Making can be fun for everyone

Anne here to share with you a little making fun.
This year, for teacher's gifts, I had my boys help me make them.
The fantastic hanging star kit was the basis for my teachers gifts.
I got the boys to ink and glue the stars and then write a note to their teachers.
Here are some pics of you youngest making his star.

"so what colour is this?"

Then I put these together in a frame and created a little thank you.

The star is attached to rope, which is stapled in the top of the frame, so it actually moves in the Shadow box.

Then I have created the following design for the Black with 2 challenge this month.

I have incorporated some Ball-balls and The words Christmas Blessings.

Thanks for looking and I hope you get to do some Making soon.
