Hello 2015

Happy new year everyone... although by now it is in full force already, over a week into the new year. I hope yours has gotten off to a fantastic start.

Like so many, I am still playing catch up on my December Daily. Unfortunately my printer stopped working late November and I only replaced it last week so a bit of a delay on photo printing has slowed me down somewhat.

But I'm plodding along. Here are a few more pages:

And yes I have a little person who is scared of Santa so lucky mummy got another santa photo this year.

I am also motivated to make all the cards for family birthdays ASAP this year so they are good to go throughout the year. Part of my plan of simplifying. So here is my niece's card who hasn't got a birthday til mid February.

Do you like to make cards in advance or are you a spur of the moment card maker?

Happy 2015!

It's hard to believe we are at the start of another new year but here we go for another 365 day adventure :) It wasn't until I saw my photos of this months projects together that I realised that I've gone for a bit of a blue theme which was definitely not planned. The relaxed feel of the blue must be what I needed after the hectic times of the Christmas and New Year celebrations!
My layout is using the gorgeous Stringed Circles CB5114 which I just adore and seem to go with so many different styles of scrapbooking and card making:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Stringed Circles CB5114, Feathers CB1222 and Assorted Words CB6101 along with Scrapmatts Charms Filigree Flower #16 CH076 and Filigree Flower #6 CH012

Scrapmatts have also just released a Seaside / Nautical theme of chipboard which includes some gorgeous word titles and sea themed shapes. They go so beautifully with some vintage Seaside images on some tags:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Tags CB3008, Marine Life CB4067, Marine Life CB1226, Leaf Spray CB4063, Assorted Words 04 CB1192 and Assorted Words 02 CB1190

How gorgeous is that 'By the Sea' title :)

Now I feel like getting that sand between my toes and enjoying Summer!

Happy New Year filled with lots of STARS

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Happy New Year.

I am going to share with you a LO I created using some Fabulous Red Chipboard Christmas embellishments.  This was a class I taught at Workshop Wonders event in December, where Scrapmatts was one of my sponsors.

Then for some closeups:

Then I have created a fun and festive Layout, showing some pictures from my son's birthday party from last year.  I have used the same stars as on my other Christmas design, however, I have created a title tag.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my shares.  Looking forward to a fun filled year in 2015.

Hello and Welcome!

Wishing You a 'Merry Christmas' and I hope you enjoy New Year's Eve - celebrate and may 2015 be full of wonderful things and happiness.
Today I'm sharing a layout I made of my youngest son Connaugh. He was 3 yrs old here and is now 8, so this photo has waited a long time to be scrapped !

'Eternal moments'

Scrapmatts gorgeous Chipboard used:

CB1200 Scrapwords 08
CB5089 Ferns 02

Other products: 7 Dots studio - Destination Unknown Paper, Manor House flowers and Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays.
I decided to play with the colour purple, it's one of my favourite colours yet one I use so little of.
So my New Years resolution is to use more colours I'm scared to use.  Set yourself a resolution for 2015 that will challenge you in your scrapping...... as you might just find something new you love.

First Christmas Photo and Some Cards

Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate the holiday. Continuing on with the Christmas fun the other DT members have been sharing, here is a layout featuring Harrison's first Santa photo! Harrison is very social at the moment and just likes being around people so he really wasn't too fussed by meeting Santa.

While my cards below use older Christmas releases, this layout features two new release chipboard packs from Scrapmatts: CB1228 Christmas Ornaments 14 and CB1224 Holly 03. The Christmas tree charm in the top right is also from Scrapmatts (CH041 Christmas Trees #1).

I find cards are a great way to use up paper scraps and I have so many different bits of Christmas papers lying around, so my second project is a set of three Christmas cards which have a 'Peace' theme.

The Christmas tree on this card came pre-coloured in the green which made the whole card come together very quickly. I have used CB6079 Assorted Words 11 and CB6082 Christmas Trees 04.

My second card uses one of my favourite chipboard packs (CB1096 Reindeers 05) and CB1108 Words 24 Peace. Using gold embossing powder on chipboard is quick, easy and effective.
