C.S.I. Challenges using SCRAPMATTS.

Hello there,
How is your week going? I am mid winter here and I mustn't complain as Winter is needed, and it makes for good days indoors creating!!

Once again the Team from Scrapmatts were invited to be Guest Designers for the challenges over at C.S.I. Color Stories Inspiration Challenge and I would like to share two of my layouts from two of the challenges..

The first layout was created for the Mid June Challenge which was to document something about summer. Well I had to find some fabulous Scrapmatts beachy chippies for my page and then I created my layout.

This photo was taken early one morning when we were at the beach, the water was so blue and beautiful...

The second layout I am sharing was created for the C.S.I. Color Stories Inspiration challenge #257 which was to document something summer...  So again I found a photo of my Dd when we had a summer holiday and created my page..

I popped a shell just lightly swiped with gesso in my flower cluster and a little frame is peeking out there too..

The fabulous Diamond Mesh is one of my favourite chippies to add some texture.

I put my chipboard banner pieces through two different embossing folders and I love the added interest the texture has given to the banner.. A light swipe with gesso using my finger is all I have put on them... The word summer was painted with gesso and then the same water color I used on the back ground in places.

July Creations with Tania

Hello there!

Tania joining you today to share my July Scrapmatts projects with you all!!

First up this month I have a Heart canvas to share...... I had so much fun getting messy making this canvas and love how the colours turned out!

I used the Bricks stencil to add texture to the background.  Then I got messy adding lots of colour using an assortment of colouring mediums.  Once I was happy with the colours I began to add my embellishments.  I altered my chipboard pieces with some new Dylusions Shimmer sprays. Added some paper straws and then my photos.  I finished off the canvas with lots of yummy blooms.......

My second share for today is a layout.  I had a little fun playing on snapchat recently so I decided to scrap one of those photos lol!

I added lots of torn layered edges on this page and then used the Paint Drips Stencil on the background.  I added a photo and created a couple of flower clusters either side of it and then tucked in the gorgeous page borders on either side keeping them in the white finish.

Sharing a Little love with Scrapmatts

Hello everyone - Crece T with you today, I hope you have all been well. 

Today I am sharing with you a layout I created of my gorgeous niece.

"Love the Way you Smile"

And here are the close ups...

I absolutely love this CB5030 Heart Frame 03. I have used the GoPress & Foil Machine to colour this chipboard piece. Great technique to add that little extra to your layouts. (you can see a beautiful shimmer as it moves in the light...a lil hard to photograph)

Because she is 'Always Smiling' I thought that this chipboard word piece from CB1241 Scrap Words 27 was perfect to use.

Love the way you smile comes from CB6103 Scrap Words 21.

I find these are great to use as a mini title on my scrapbooking pages.

Warm Welcome to July with Scrapmatts!

Hello dearest friends of Scrapmatts!

Kim here to start off your July with a few crafty creations!

I do hope your finding some time for crafting.....

Winter is a great time to stay inside and craft the time away!

I have three projects I would like to share with you on this first day of July

The first is a layout, featuring my youngest grandson, Angus.....

The first was inspired by the beautiful colours of Autumn!

 I have put some of the leaves through a cuttlebug and used different embossing folders to add texture. A few gorgeous buttons and Satin Seam Binding!

 I used a combination of mists and sprays to obtain the Autumn colours.
