Scrapmatts May creating with Helen - a layout and a card

Hello and welcome back to Scrapmatts.
It's Helen with you today.

First I'm sharing a bath time layout;
the bubbles stencil and chipboard seemed just right for this page.
This little Bubba loved his bath. No matter what mood he was in before he hit the water, he instantly became angelic in the suds.
I used my favourite embossing powder on the wings and the string circle frame.
It's Aged Ivory from Stampendous.   The Bubble chipboard was just swiped with Gesso and I used Liquitex texture paste through the stencils.

Next up is a vintage style card
This is a tent style card, so that I could attach a ribbon at the top.
I decorated the inside as well. The paper is from Pion.
I inked the spray of Roses and added shine with Glossy Accents.
The ornate frame was wet embossed with Aged Ivory from Stampendous.

  2. Wow!! Both projects are absolutely gorgeous Helen!! Beautiful colours on the layout (love that touch of yellow against the blue) and the finish on those wonderful chippies looks amazing! Such a cute photo too! Your card is delightful!! The chippy used is the perfect frame for that lovely vintage image and, once again, the colour mix is gorgeous! Love the decoration on the inside too. Absolutely stunning work. xx

  7. oooooh such beautiful projects - I always love your treatment of the chippies, that ivory embossing powder is perfect. The page really evokes that happy bathtime feeling - one of my boys was just like that in the bath, trouble was when it came time to get him out again! The card is gorgeous, reminds me of a couple of really old greetings cards we found in my Gran's treasure box, beautiful! xxx
