Quick and easy titles and journaling

 Hey everyone,

I'm thrilled to be back this month with a triple layout set of pages showcasing how easy it is to use the fabulous chipboard titles and journaling words that Scrapmatts do so well ...

I've used the Mintay 'Harmony' paper collection for all three of the following pages and titled and journaled on each of them with chipboards from just TWO packs of versatile products created by scrapmatts ...

So the titles on all these pages come from this fabulous huge chipboard set ...

I ordered these chipboards from Scrapmatts with a white mist finish, so all I had to do with this first title of 'Memories' was use a ink sponge to create a variegated ( or ombre ) look using some blue ink. I started at the base of the word and worked the colour upwards, getting lighter as I went up each letter, focusing the most intense colour at the base of the word.

Next I simply chose the most appropriate words that suited the theme of my photos and the whole layout from this fabulous scrap words pack - the black background with the lighter engraved lettering creates a multi-dimensional look to what would normally be quite flat journaling.

And as you can see, once I stumbled upon this winning formula, it was simply too easy to run with it ...

With this next title word I heavily inked the whole word with the blue ink. After this is used some white acrylic paint to add shine lines to the sides of each letter - the white paint was permeated by the blue ink and ended up casting subdued shine lines instead of bright white ones - a look that matched perfectly with my 'Dreamy' title!

And of course the journalling was just as easy for this second page as it was on the first...

For this third and final layout I did the same variegated ink technique that I used on the first title, except this time I brought the colour in from the top and bottom, easing it off to a faded centre.

I probably could have created a more intense colour at the base of the word ... but I was wary of it disappearing into the background paper if I made it too dark.

And of course it took moments to chose the words from the chipboard pack and finish off the journalling that perfectly summed up my feelings about the moment captured in this layout 💙

And that's it from me this month folks.
I hope you have been inspired by these pages and projects ...
I wish you all the best on your own creative adventures.

Cheers
Kel

Hello there! My goodness how are we in June already?? I hope this finds you well and enjoying your day!!

I have a layout and a couple of cards to share with you today..I hope you are inspired to get your Scrapmatts out and have some creative time!

I have used a cute photo of my Grandie on my page today and so you can expect flowers and some pink!!

She certainly does brighten up my day so this was perfect for my layout! I have added some texture to my back ground with the Stencil Circles which I did after adding some sprays of mist.

I have used the Hanging Jewell's chipboard which I cut into various pieces and painted them yellow and added some flower bling pieces to the circles..

I even used the frame that was around the chipboard on my layout and I inked that with a brown ink pad..

A corner feature using two hanging Jewell pieces..

and my layout..

Lots of fussy cut flowers mixed in with the hanging Jewell chipboard...

Here is a list of the Scrapmatts that I have used on my layout..

Handful Of Happiness & Baby Shower Gift Tag by Kim

Hello....hello dearest friends of
Kim here with you to share a couple of things I have created using some gorgeous
SCRAPMATTS PRODUCTS

Firstly, I will share a layout, created using one of the fabulous
Creative Titles
Let me show you....

{ A Handful Of Happiness}
I love this little photo of my gorgeous Daughter-In- Law with her two cheeky little men.
Such a fun little shot!

The second project I put together is a Baby Shower Gift Tag for a very special Mumma-to-be

I made the base of the tag from thick cardboard and I used Prima Flower packaging (The cardboard the flowers come stuck to....if you look at these the basic shapes are fabulous to trace around to create tag shapes.) I then glued some paper to my cut out base, let it dry and cut my tag out.

I then added muslin, the lace flowers, Scrapmatts chipboard, flowers and twine.
As an after thought I added a touch of machine stitching......(Which of course I should have done as one of my first steps!)

Lastly I punch a hole through the top of my tag and added some gorgeous, pretty white ribbon.

Mixed Media Linen Bags & a birthday calendar in a box by Dunja

Hiya Scrapmatts Friends, Dunja is here and I'll show you three creations this month.

I created two linen bags in two different ways. The first one (blue-green-teal) is made with color burst colorpowders by Ken Oliver Crafts. I love the colors, they are amazing. I've used the stencil ST5016 Stencil Starburst for the background and added some embossingpowder to get the stars sparkling :)

This one is the second one. I've used the same stencil ST5016 Stencil Starburst and the faber castell Gelatos in three different colors.

Now onto my third inspiration for today. I'll show you a birthday calendar in the box.
This birthday calendar in the box ala SEME I wanted to try it and it was absolutely worth, right? It has a good size and room enough to write many birthdays on each monthly tickets.

The cute image is from Vildastamps V620. I colored the motif with Gansai Tambe colors and Distress Ink's. The design papers are from Maja Design from their latest summer collection 'Summer Crush' - one of my favorites, which indeed are all the papers from Maja Design are SUGAR :)

The flowers are made by me and i've used the same design paper as for the box. As always Leftovers are ideally suited. On the front you can see a texture under the motive that I have applied with the Scrapmatts Stencil ST5016 Stencil Starburst and structure paste. The chipboards can also be found by Scrapmatts in the Set CB1197 Scrapwords 05
