October creating with Lizzy

Hell there! How is your October going? I hope things are well with you..

Today I am sharing with you my layout I have created with some wonderful Scrapmatts products.

I have a few of the lovely Arch Window Frames in my stash and I wanted to use them in a different way on my page.. They make great frames around photos but I felt like cutting them up and placing on my page as features.

As I usually do I started by adding some interest to the back ground with stencils, one with texture paste and the other with an ink pad and dauber.

I cut one frame in half and I left one frame whole.

I kept a bit of a butterfly theme happening with these chipboard butterflies that I colored with glitter gel pens, adding different layers of color until I was happy with the rustic look.

I colored the feathers the same way with different glitter gel pens to give a multi-colored look. and placed them over some fussy cut feathers.

and my layout.

Remember to smile everyday.

I hope I have inspired you to look at your Chipboard and see if there is some way you can use them in a different way.  We are only limited by our imagination...  and that is where the Design Team inspiration comes along.. make sure you pop by again to see what else we have been creating!

Loving These Moments - By Crece T

Hey everyone, Crece here with you today to share a layout I have been working on.

Loving These Moments

I love one of the latest releases from Mintay - Apple Season, and just had to create a layout to share.

Here are some Close Ups...

I love using the Scrapmatts Titles. They are so simple and come in a great variety of words.
I have used some Ranger Embossing powder in Red Cinnabar to cover the chipboard.

I find using the String Circles set a Great way to frame subjects in photos.
I have also embossed this with Ranger Embossing powder in Red Cinnabar.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you come on back and check out the rest of the design teams creations this month.

Hope you have a fantastic crafty week

The best of friends

Well here we are, a lot of you are still trapped in the nightmare that is Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdown but thankfully for us here in Orange we are out, still having cases so you never know what it is around the corner. Hopefully you have managed to get some creativity happening and on that note I hope that I can inspire you with my latest pages, using the, as always, gorgeous Scrapmatts products.

The pages I have done for this month are of myself with my gorgeous scrappy friends, Kim Ewins and Rachael Funnell, two of the most talented and beautiful people I am blessed to be able to call friends. Sometimes we get together for just a day and will go for lunch and then a roam around some of the lovely parks we have here. These pics were taken in the pride of our town, well that is what I think, Cook Park, it is a whole city block with a beautiful begonia house, duck pond, aviary, sunken rose garden and lots of other things to enjoy.

On this page I used one of my favorite stencils which I inked through and then extended it to give a lovely flow on the page, some corrugated cardboard, and the small wildflowers frame and some cut little scrap words.

This second page is again at Cook Park in the beautiful fernery which has a stunning water fountain. Again I used a stencil to add some more black elements to the paper to compliment what was already there, plus the fantastic brick wall stencil which was perfect for the background.

From the Wildflowers pack I cut the largest frame to make it fit around both of the pics, it is a bit dauting when you see how large it is but this way you can make it work for your advantage. Adding a nice green ink helped to make it all tie in together with some more scrap words and leaf pieces.

Well that is all from me for this month, I hope that wherever you are, you are keeping safe and trying to get through these troubling times. There is nothing like some retail and scrapping therapy to help with that so make sure you check out the awesome products on the Scrapmatts site.

Until next month
Hugs and love to all

Life’s a Beach

For those of us in the southern hemisphere the weather is finally warming up and beach days are back!

🌞 🐚 🐚 🐚 🌞

This is of course my favourite scrapbook page theme so I'm kicking the 21/22 summer season off with some  beachy layouts and a special card...

Stencils are the hero's of this first page ...
I've inked Circles on the background of the sky, shells onto the sandy base of the page
and of course some silhouette flying birds about like gulls.

I also ended up using some of these super cute beach chippies as embellishments on the page - coloured using Distress inks. And of course I have a scrap words title to top it all off.

Summer Holiday Layout

Sometimes you need to get more than just one photo on a page right?
Well holidays photos are a lot like that for my huge family and divided pages
are a great way to get this done.

Here I have separated my photos into the existing panels on the paper to help frame
them nicely while still getting a decent number of the onto the page.

I used my beachy chipboards to simply dress the page up after getting all my photos on there

And as I often do - I tossed as many of these scrap words all over the page as I could.
I'm not a HUGE fan of journaling - but I do enjoy setting the mood with these wonderful little word tiles.

And with my leftovers from the two pages above I was able to make this special Z-fold card.

This special one was for my Daughters 16th Birthday - she adores the beach also and
you have to go the extra mile of the big birthdays right!? 😉

Scapmatts have this fabulous Z-Fold card template that makes these kinds of cards too easy.
All I needed was a sheet of A4 card stock, a scorer and a pencil and this was
ready to decorate in 3 mins flat!

The chipboard 'Happy Birthday' title was coloured using distress inks - a light blue on
the top of the letters and a darker one on the base. Over the top of these I added shine lines with
a medium while gel pen - for a nice glossy wet look.

And yes - again with more scrap words ! lol
🤣 🤣 🤣

Well that's it from me this month my creative friends,
but I promise to continue to bombard you with summer layouts well into the coming season.

Many, many smiles
from Kel

Love This Moment

Good morning This month I have started with Christmas and have done a layout using some vintage paper and book pages as the base to build from.
I have also added some of the Scrapmatts lace to the background for a softer feel to the base.
In amongst the fussy cut leaves on the bottom of the page i have added the Scrapmatts Twigs 02, which have just been very simply inked using a soft distress oxide ink.
The title CT058, was painted with red paint then glossy accents applied over the top once dry
Anyway, it was short and sweet this month, but hopefully I may have inspired you to think outside the norm when it comes to starting a scrapbook page. Thank you Heather
