May Creating
Hi everyone,
Lisette here with some more layouts to inspire you.
Life has been very busy for me over the last couple of months. Luckily in a good way. My husband and I have just been to Ularu for a few days. Such a special part of Australia and well worth visiting if you haven't. I am heading to a Scrapbooking retreat next weekend. So excited to catch up with this great bunch of girls again. Netball season is in full swing now especially as I am involved with a rep team and we head to Junior State Titles at the end of June. I have also reinvigorated my love of patchwork and quilting.
I created both of these layouts earlier this year for challenges.
The first one if for the current Just Add Flair Challenge. Masks and temperature checks with the norm at work last year - not a favourite fashion accessory, but necessary.

I hope you have all found some inspiration in my layouts.
Until next time
Happy Creating
Lisette 😊

Creative Cards
Hello & Welcome
Fi here today, sharing with you some cards slim line cards I've Create. Cards are something you can create using your scraps from you left over papers, that way you always have a stash on hand when they are needed.
First up is a sweet little car made from Simple Studio Cottage Garden leftovers. I used the splatter stencil to control the sprays I've used along with some delicate little chipboard pieces.

'Hello Adventure' & 'Smile' by Kim Ewins
Hello...hello!
Kim here with you today to share a couple of layouts I have created for
SCRAPMATTS
The first I wish to share is a layout I created at the Scrapmatts Retreat at Neville last weekend.
I had the pleasure of showing a fabulous group of ladies how I generally put together a layout.
Here let me show you the layout, titled
'Hello Adventure'
My next layout features a photo of my daughters and I at my eldest daughter, Samantha's wedding a couple of years ago.
'Smile'

May Creating with Lizzy.
Hello there,
How are you all? Here we are in the middle of May already and that means it is my turn to share on the Scrapmatts blog. At the moment I have a lot going on with my Family, so I have to find ways of creating a layout without a lot of time spent wondering about how to get it done.. So I would like to share with you a few steps that help me in my creating.
Firstly, I create a simple design of my papers and where my photo will go..
Then I lightly pencil in under my papers and photo to give me an idea of where to stencil.. No use stencilling where it will be covered.
I have used black gesso for my stencilling and I also used the black gesso to color all my chipboard pieces.. I love the drama the black color creates on a page.
After painting all the chipboard I was going to use, I cut the Sticks chipboard into pieces and made sure they would fit around my layout and not get hidden too much, after all the chipboard was adding great texture and interest. I then carefully stuck my papers and photo down and glued the chipboard down too..
I fussy cut some flowers from the papers and lifted them up with some old cardboard and placed some cogs around my layout too to add a masculine element,
I like the contrast of the softness of the flowers against the boldness of the black elements!
I love the Boho arrow and words and this became the title for my layout.. Chevrons are also a fabulous embellishment too for any type of layout.
And the finished layout..
The finishing touch was to trim a little off two sides of the layout and then put the whole page on a piece of black cardstock and rip the edges randomly to add a bit more texture. I love how the black seems to add more details to the look of the layout, but really this was quite a simple layout to create. I hope I have inspired you with my layout and sharing how I created it..
These are the Scrapmatts products I have used.
