A Farewell Post by Christine

Hello lovely Scrapmatts followers.  Before I get hitched in two days time, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Sofie for my time here with the Scrapmatts team.  This will be my last Scrapmatts post and I had thouroughly enjoyed creating with all of the gorgeous range of Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils.

I have saved the best for last with three different projects.  First up is a layout:

Scrapmatts Chipboard: CB4071 String Circles 07

Scrapmatts Stencils: ST1038 Square, ST5001 Bubbles

This is one of my all time favourite photo of my girls, niece and nephew.  The largest piece of the String Circles chipboard set perfectly frames and features the photo.  For the background, I used the Grid and Bubbles stencils.

Second is a mixed media canvas:

Scrapmatts Chipbord: CB4070 String Circles 06 Roses

Scrapmatts Stencil: 9007 Circles A4

I stenciled some texture paste through the canvas for the background and framed the cluster with the gorgeous Rose String Circles chipboard.

Last but not the least is an off the page project which I specifically created for my wedding:

Scrapmatts Stencil: ST5022 Tile Pattern

This is a beer box which I turned to a wishing well.  I couldn't find any wishing well that suits my taste and so I made one especially for the special day...only two more days to go!  All this needed was a touch of Scrapmatts stenciling and voila!

A massive thanks again to Sofie...for believeing in my work and for making me a part of this lovely team.  I would also like to thank everyone who have left lovely comments on the blog, I appreciate every single one of them.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Scrapmatts' team inspirations.

Cheers,

Celebrations

Welcome, I'm a little behind the eight ball this week with time management
so I'm a wee bit late with today's post.   I recently went to Melbourne with hubby,
a Christmas gift from him,  and weve only just had time to take it.

Loved, Loved, Loved Melbourne..... so many things to do and
4 days was definitely not enough.  Like everything, all good things must come to an end, and of course when you get home you spend the next week or so playing catch up.  Anyway moving on, here are two projects I have created.  One was for a friend's husbands 80th Birthday, what a awesome milestone, along with a decorative envelope.

Up first is the Card, this was a fairly good size card so I was able to do some lovely layering along with embossing powders and all these fun gears.

Chipboard used on my project, all of these are linked for easy purchasing.

I created the envelope using, I didn't realise at the time, a older Scrapmats Template ST4004...super cute and easy to use.  I'm going to have so much fun using this template.

Well lovely crafters, thank you for dropping by, I will have full more details on my projects later in the week.

Happy Scrapping!!!

Live Love Laugh - Journal Art Scrapmatts

Live Laugh Love

Hello All
Welcome to March

I am sharing with you today an art journal page that I created using Scrapmatts stencils and chipboard.

As I have been looking after my mother in law (dementia) the last month, as my father in law has had a stroke and is still recovering in hospital, I have been very time poor.

So while I have been staying at Mum's house, I wanted to keep being creative. This is where I find that having my art journal allows me to do this. Keeps those creative juices flowing.
Scrapmatts products make it even easier to create as they have so many stencils available.

Here is my finished page.

To create the base I used Distress Oxides and water to create a watercolour effect.
Then I used the ST5046 Lattice stencil,and ST9012 Patterns stencil with embossing paste to create texture.

ST5046

ST9012

I inked through the ST9027 Damask stencil with Wilted Violet Distress Ink to create the damask shape.

I have used the CB4050 Assorted Words for the quote.

I have left them raw and just added a black line with my fine liner pen around the outside of the letters and the page.

To finish off the page I have splattered some ink using Kaisercraft Mists.

Thanks for stopping by.

Til next time
