inspiration with Elena Smoktunova

 Hello friends!
Today I will show you two projects.
The first project is a folder for the marriage certificate. Beautiful, elegant folder. I made it solemn, because it will keep the main document for many years.

The main element here is the chipboard framework. It's very elegant and I covered it with hot embossing.
There are also decorations made of chipboard and they are also covered with hot embossing.

The second project is two sea cards! It is now June-the time of holidays, time to go to the sea and enjoy the bright sun and warm and clean sea water!
There are also many wonderful chipboard, which I covered with glaze.

Mixed Media Layout by Novita Ferris

Hello my dear crafty friends,
Here we are in June and this is the last week of this month.... wowww time flies by! I hope you are getting some creative time in each day!

I have been having a lot of fun  with mixed media, so today I would love to share a mixed media layout that I made and hope I will inspire you to create a masculine layout too.

Here is my mixed media layout.....

I created a mixed media background using  some texture paste with Scrapmatts stencil and then with a wet brush I painted randomly with Lindys Stamps Gang ink sprays. Once this background dried I've added some stamps here and there.

Here are some close up photos....

Some chipboards I inked with Jet Black Archival Ink pad and when the chipboard cogs were dry I added a bit of pigment ink "Cosmic copper" and "Galaxy gold" on top to give the effect of rust marks.

While they were drying I started embellishing my layout until I was happy with the finished page.

Well thats all from me today....
I hope you like what I made and will feel motivated to get creative.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you pop over to have a look the great new chipboards and stencils on the SCRAPMATTS online store and come back here to the Scrapmatts blog to see what the other Design Team members have been creating!

Until next time,

Happy Crafting xx

Ocean Breezes

Hi & Welcome

Fi here today sharing with your some pages that I created whilst recently away on a retreat.

The weather has finally cooled, perfect walking weather at a chilly 5 degree's...love it!

Every morning I take my phone with me hoping that I will spot some wildlife and the one morning I didn't I caught a glimpse of Wallaby.  When you have dogs with you the opportunities are quite rare. as they have usually scarred everything off.  Oh well maybe next time!

First up

Scrapmats have some beautiful chipboard choices when you are trying to create a theme such as this.
I have linked each of the products below so that you are able to find them easily.

I used this lovely Floral Frame for my first page, I have embossed it with so glitter embossing powder, to give it some sparkle.

Thanks for looking and I will share more details on my blog,

LOVE & LAUGH BUTTERFLY CANVAS

                          LOVE & LAUGH BUTTERFLY CANVAS

Good Morning Followers. Jodie here with  my DT post for June.
This is my love & laugh butterfly canvas.
It features lots of amazing chipboard from Scrapmatts.

To start the canvas, I have used this beautiful tissue paper that I recently purchased at the Perth Craft Fair.
I love the Parisian look.

Base of canvas using tissue paper.

I used clear gesso to apply the tissue paper and to seal it.
To create the washed out effect, I diluted dylusions paint and painted the wash over the tissue paper.
The collage stamp is from Darkroom Door and the postcard is from a Kaisercraft collection and stamped with pinecone ink.

This butterfly is from the CB1015 Butterflies Chipboard.
The Hexagon chipboard CB5122 is coloured with the gold ink.
I have embossed it with Stampendous Aged Marine Embossing Powder.
The feathers charms are from Toko Central in Bali.

This gorgeous little leaves are from the CB5177 Wildflowers.
I have inked with the Brilliance Gold Ink Pad
Flowers are from 49 and Market.

This cute love, laugh and hearts are from the CB6117 Assorted Words Chipboard.
I have embossed with Gold embossing powder.

To finish off the canvas I added some cheesecloth and black sewing twine.
Some pearl bling for the butterfly centres and coloured with Caramel Alcohol Ink Marker.

Finished canvas.
