This got me busy creating for Christmas and  today I get to share two mixed media projects with you.

First up is...  "Season's Greetings Ornament"

Some close up photos

I have painted the Scrapmatts Snowflake ball ornament wooden and chipboards with Starlights Platinum metallic, LSG Sea Mint Green and also I've heat embossed tittle in black.

Using Scrapmatts chipboards and stencil:

Last but not the least is a "Believe Tag"

Using the large thick chipboard 3,5"x 8,5" tag to created my mixed media Christmas tag. I used a lot of different medium to create my background including glitters, waxes and some micro beads.

 Using Scrapmatts chipboards :

That is all I have to share with you today.

Its that time of year

Hi & Welcome

I don't know about everyone else but I'm definitely not ready for the onslaught of Christmas.  It feels like we only just had Christmas and now it is here again.  I wonder if its because the shops start putting all the Christmas stuff out so early that now we just feel like we a swamped with it all again.

Other than all the prep that comes with the silly season I am looking forward to having a nice break, unfortunately this year's break will not include any scrapbooking.  This year we have decided not to fly over to Western Australia, instead we are going to drive.  This means  I will be doing some camping, definitely no glamping will be involved.   I'm unsure whether I will be looking forward to that part of it all.  It will be great though, to see how much has changed since we first travel across over 20 years ago.

First up I have a layout of my daughter's first birthday, we had no family here in QLD,  there was just the 3 of us celebrating with a couple of friends.  This was my first attempt at ever making a kids Birthday cake, which I must admit I decided as much as I love baking and cooking...
cakes are not my thing.

For this layout I used the following Chipboard pieces.I firstly painted them with some white crackle paint and then blinged them up with some jewel drops and glitter.

Second up off the rank is a Christmas layout I recently did.  I have created this using the new Kaiser Craft Christmas Collection along with one of my favourite Scrapmats chippies CB4068 String Circles 05 Holly.  I can't tell you how many times I've used this particular piece.  Other pieces used are listed below.

Well that is all from me this month, I hope you enjoyed my creations.

Good evening , cutting it fine with this months post as the month has gotten away from me... but I am here so all is good....

Tonight I am sharing with you a boy and a girl layout using the same collection of papers but by changing up the chipboard you can get two amazing layouts for your albums.

How amazing is this piece of chipboard!!!!!

Hope this has inspired you to play with a his and hers layout using the same collection of papers but varying the chipboard to suit.

Not Just For the Boyz !!!

Not Just For The Boyz

Good Morning
Welcome to my November Blog Post for Scrapmatts
Not just for the Boyz

Just last weekend I attended a fabulous retreat in Bruce Rock (Western Australia) where I was able to find my mojo and got a lot of layouts completed.

The layout below features lots of chipboard from Scrapmatts.
The photo was taken of my daughter enjoying the ATV's in Bali.
Who said its just for boyz??

For this layout I have used the Edge of Town Collection from Scrapberry's.
The collectables are from the factory 42 collection from Kaisercraft.
It has a great grunge feel to it. So I had to pull out the cogs and barbed wire.

To create the background I used 2 stencils.
I have used a blending tool with black gesso to create texture.
I used white gesso to create the flicks on the page.

Title word is from

This is my second layout.
I have used the same paper collection and added Factory 42 collectables.
The cogs and barb wire are from the leftover chipboard.
To create the colour on the cogs, I used Finnabair Rust Paste - Camouflage.
To colour the barb wire I used the Uniquely Creative Black Glitter Pen.

To add some texture and depth, I also added some squares which I have coloured with the Black Glitter pen.
