Flying

Good morning all This month my layout is a bit darker than I usually do, but have to admit, I quite like the end product. I have also made the stencilling and the chipboard the main focus rather than choosing chipboard to suite my project.
I started by choosing this photo that I got from a free image site I found on google (sorry I can't remember which one to credit the photograper), then used the stencil and texture paste on the left side. I then gently sprayed some shimmer spray over the top of the whole page just to soften the black a little I then fussy cut the flowers and layed them so that they kind of look like wings for the photo. Under some of the flower I cut little pieces of the lace and glued underneather the tip of the flower
The chipboard was all donne with embossing powder, the frame (I love this frame!!) I just used black embossing powder. I was going to do 2 layers, but I liked that in some places you could see through to the natural chipboard, Te butterflies were done with a Lindys Desert Moon Turquoise, which is a shimmery sheer coverage which I really liked as it gives a sense of movement for the butterflies as the page moves.
The title, I will have to admit my hubby sent me to our local $2 shop to get some Mason jars for jam he was making, and I couldn't resist walking through their craft section and I found these little bags of scrabble tiles. Below are the Scrapmatts products that I have used that you can get at
Thank you again to those who are following Scrapmatts and their blog, I hope that I have given you a couple of ideas to go away and play with and add into your own projects. Heather

Hello Crafters

 Hello and welcome

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Today I'm sharing with you a layout using a picture of my Grandma in her younger days.  Back when they used to dress up when they went into town and there would be a camera man out taking photos.

I used the newly released Prima papers along with Scrapmatts Scrapword 36 and the large scribble circles.  Both of these have been embossed with Tim Holtz embossing glaze.

'Hey Hello' layout by Kim

 Hello...hello!!!

Kim here with you today to share with you all a layout I have created using some GREAT, SCRAPMATTS products !

My layout features my youngest grandson, Harvey who is growing way too fast for my liking!!!

Anyhow, let me show you my layout...

[Hey Hello]

So, I totally LOVE these pic's and just couldn't leave any single one of them out, so I just trimmed them down to fit across my page.

I'm not really one to scrap multi-photo layouts but I love how this one turned out. The White Mist chipboard went so well with the colours on my page and the photo's.

I love his big eyes!!!

I also put in some background stencil work, with the 'Fancy Knit Pattern' stencil.

February Creating with Lizzy.

 Hello there,

thanks for coming by!

I have two layouts to share with you today and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them! I have used photos of my Grand Daughter, the first one is when she was really little, and the other photo is  from last year.

I have used my all time favorite Chipboard for this layout.. can you guess what it is??

some closer views.

This chipboard was just right for the title for my layout.. I have used water color paint which works well on Scrapmatts Chipboard. The same water color paint was used to add some splats on the back ground..

I have backed the Wildflower Chipboard with a sweet gingham paper.. and a few pops of liquid pearls in the center for some dimension.

I just HAD to pop this sweet bow on her head and it is lightly colored with ink from an ink pad and it doesn't lose any of the details of the bow.

I have also popped a few cute little butterflies and hearts on my page as well as the Hanging Hearts stencil I have used for some interest.

Totally cute!

And here is a list of the Scrapmatts I have used on my layout..

ST5039 Stars

CB6083 Bows 01

CB5112 Hanging Hearts 01 (the butterflies and hearts)

CB5177 Wildflowers 04

CT070 Totally Cute

My second layout uses a photo of my Grandie the day she dressed up in her Book Week dress up. She was a little Gum Nut fairy.. so of course I had the perfect Chipboard to embellish my page!

I thought I would use the Flag chipboard for my title so I panted the pieces with a gold water color paint.

I put them aside to dry and then I die cut my letters and glued them on the banner pieces. I used some string to create the banner..

The Gum Leaves chipboard was perfect and I colored the leaves and gum nuts with water colors, shading until I was happy with the look..

Those gum nuts are soooo cute!!

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the papers and layered them up with old cardboard.

Book Week

These papers from Uniquely Creative have worked so well with my photo and the Gum Leaves chipboard adds the perfect finishing touches!

The Scrapmatts I have used for my page..

CB5101 Flags 02

CB5147 Gum Leaves 01

I hope I have inspired you to use your Scrapmatts and enjoy creating some layouts to remember those special little moments..
