Two layouts

Hi there! It's my turn again an I'd like to share two layouts I made with Scrapmatts chipboards and charms

First I made a masculine layout with some gorgeous metalic flowers, love them!!

I used lots of media in my background: mists, modeling paste and stamps. Then I added some layers with different papers and started embellishing. I used CB1073 Gears 02, CB1107 Clocks 08, CB6095 Assorted Words 18, CH073 Filigree Flower 13 and CH071 Filigree Flower 11

My second page is more romantic and feminine

In this layout I used the CB4063 Leaf Spray 13 and the CB6090 Ornate Frames 18. I embossed them with black embossing powder.

Have a great day!

Simply Beautiful

Hi everyone...Sandi back again with you today sharing another layout of my gorgeous niece on her graduation day,
Simply Beautiful

To create this ruffled look, I used 3 sheets of "White Apron" from the 7 Dots Domestic Goddess Collection. I cut the paper in strip and randomly punched with two different punches. I then inked the edges and glued down.
I printed two photos and cut out the image and layered on top of the chipboard frame. I also cut the extra picture in strips, punched and layered to blend in with the background.
I gave the wrought Iron Fence and beautiful frame a messy coat of gesso and paint and the twigs in my flower cluster were colored by whatever mist landed on them. I love the look of the Filigree flowers tucked in with the paper flowers!

Celebrating Love

Hi All,

After spending a week house bound due to being unwell with the flu along with my two boys (although it was nice spending some quite time together all cuddled up on the lounge watching dvd's) I was more than ready to have a play with all my paints, paper and chippie!

My Husband and I are celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary, and I have created a couple of ATC's and a mini canvas to celebrate the occasion.

"Love ATC's"

I have created the background by using a stencil and a medium paste. Once the medium dried I then have sprayed a selection of glimmer mists randomly over the background and wiped the excess off with a baby wipe. I also then used a script stamp and black ink to lightly stamp on the background to add some more texture. I have used CB1197 Scrapwords, CB1190 Scrapwords , CB1203 Birdbaths MC1016 Crowns 03 and CH063 Keys #2 and CH062 Keys #1 charms.

"You Make Me Smile" Mini Canvas

I created the background in same way as I did for the ATC's.  I used CB6091 Ornate Frames which I coloured with a mix of metallic distress stains and CB1115 Leaves 01, CB4008 Butterflies 01, CB1198 Scrapwords 06 and a metal flower charm CH073 Filigree Flower #13.

"Your Mine" Layout

This layout that I have created I have used sheets of paper from an old comic book. To tone down the colours I sprayed a light mist of white and wiped the excess off.  To blend the background together I have used a brick die and placed this over the comic paper.

I have used the funky new CB5115 Telephone Dial 01which I have cut in half and used on either side of my photo.

The CB1189 Scrapwords 01 are always a great way to fill spaces on your layout and add meaning to your page.

I also have used CB5106 Chevrons 01, and a metal charm CH016 Filigree Flowers #8
which I have cut in half and added to my flower cluster on each corner.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what we have been creating. Make sure that you pop over to the Scrapmatts Gallery and share your projects that you have created using Scrapmatts goodies.

Happy Scrapping

Joining the Shadow Box Fun

Argh, silly technical difficulties have made me a day late with this post. I apologise to you all, however my laptop died a few days ago and hubby's work laptop didn't have all the editing programs on it. Nevermind, hopefully we can muddle through and I'll still get to share my projects for this month with you.

When I was first sent two of the new Shadow Box kits in my design team pack I thought I would never use them, and that doesn't happen very often to me with Scrapmatts products! I just couldn't get my head around how I would want to use them or what to include inside the box. However, then I saw the beautiful display some of the other design team girls had created for the Brisbane Expo and suddenly I couldn't wait to get home and start playing with my own. A lot of the ladies have already shared their shadow box designs on this blog, so hopefully they have inspired you as well.

I was given some lovely beaded good luck charms on the day of my wedding from my new cousin-in-law and grandmother-in-law. I kept them because I knew I wanted to scrap them eventually but their bulkiness had always been a problem for me in the past. This made them perfect to use in the shadow box and they will up the feature space so well. I have looped their ribbons around the back and made a little pouch/envelope for their attached cards to be stored in as well.

The front is decorated with a couple of extra Scrapmatts pieces and some flowers/bling. The filigree pieces at the top come in the set with the frame, they have been inked and then had a light layer of gesso applied over the top to match the colour of the inner mat in the shadow box. The Scrapword has just had some liquid pearls brushed over it to match the colour of the pearls in the good luck charms.

Scrapmatts used: Shadow Box 1B16; Ornate Frames 22 CB1220; Scrap Words 08; CB1200.

My second project for you today is a birthday card for my Nana, who turns 76 next Wednesday. I loved these hot air balloon chipboard designs as soon as they were released and had to get a set even though they don't match my normal style of scrapping. They came in handy on this card though. I have adhered some cardstock behind the chipboard, sprayed it with two colours of mists and them applied two layers of dimensional magic over the top. I hadn't expected the cracked effect but when I saw it the next morning I decided I quite liked the end result.

Scrapmatts used: Ribbon Banners 01 CB1204; Hot Air Balloons 01 CB5035; Words 26 CB1121.

Thanks for checking out my projects, I hope they have inspired you. Don't forget to share your Scrapmatts projects with us, either on Facebook or at the Ning gallery.

Hi everyone Crece here, hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend.
Today I am sharing with you some creations I have made over the past month.

I have used Scrapmatts chipboard and also charms which are also available in the online store!

Here are some close ups...

I loved how this huge flower turned out.
I covered it in Gesso, sprayed some colour mists over the top and then rubbed over the top with some Inka Gold.

I used the word 'Inspire' as I thought thats what this lil tag has given me...inspiration...

Something Old and New

Can you believe this year is already have over? I can't. It probably doesn't help I've now become a uni student amongst everything else. Still, it's always nice to make time for some creativity!

This next one is actually a retro share... well as retro as last year can be. It was one of my masters entries for 2013 that did not turn out quite as I had hoped. The criteria was making your own background so I used collages of my photo a day prompts of my daughter and overlapped them to make the background, with a few splashes of paint and texture. For some reason I always experiment in strange ways for master's entries. Although I've only entered twice. Not trying this year. The art journal prompt is not really me so easier to give it a miss that fail miserably ;)

And a simple tag. This one was one of those lovely under 10 minute sort of projects that just come together easily.

Thanks for visiting.
