By the Sea

Hello and Welcome

It been awhile since my last post, having travelled from Brisbane across to Perth and back again by car, it’s taken a little while to catch up on things.

I took a lot of of photos whilst on our travels and I mean a lot.  Not which ones to use, I thought it might be easier to first create my pages then come back and decide which photos to use.

I have started with a couple of pages that are beach themed, I love the beach but unfortunately it’s just way to far with all the traffic to be bothered.  So yes I made the most of the lovely beach time whilst we were travelling.

For my pages I have used some Bo Bunny papers along with some netting chipboard as well as the large nautical frame.

Love the script word Castle I found left from
One of the word sets, my favourite chipboard is the white colour as it looks great when inked.

This piece works beautifully as a frame, can’t wait to find the perfect pics for these.

Hello Bali!

Hi everyone, welcome to my post for May.

I have myself organised this month!  Finally I have had a chance to do some creating.
I used the sketch in the Kraft+ challenge this month.  A nice simple one.

We had a week in Bali with the family at the end of February and this is the first picture I have scrapped.  Lunch selfie on our first day.

First step was to paint a strip of white for my background.  Then used some spray with the brick stencil and then texture paste with the circles

ST5006 - Stencil Circles

I coloured the chipboard.  The heart with spray and ink, Hello with a grey marker and the tab with red ink.

 CB5117 Tabs 01

CB6105 Assorted Words 23

and finished off with this lovely saying

 CB1197 Scrapwords 05

I only have one layout for this month but will make up for it in June as I will be attending a Scrapbooking retreat, so will have lots of layouts to show off.

Until then
Happy creating

Vintage Journal Cover with Heather

Hi all. When I was at Creativation in January I saw this paper range from 49 & Market called Bold &Beautiful and I fell in love with it. I managed to get a few sets recently and I may have gone a little crazy with it over the past few weeks.

It is so beautiful to fussy cut and layer with chipboard and other embellishments.

The front view photo I will admit it loses some of the impact, but here are some side on views to show the layers and where I have used the very pretty Scrapmatts chipboard

Here is the chipboard that I have used:

I also used part of an older set called Australian Federation Tray that I had in my stash

Thank you

Mothers and their children...

ðŸ’š  Blessings to all the Mothers out there  💚

My mother passed away when I was quite young so I didn't grow up with a mum in my life. But I did manage to have a bunch of beautiful kids that have shown me all the abundant joys ( and few horrors 😉 ) that come with being a mum.

For me mothers day is a time to really take stock and give thanks. It sounds cheesy, but truly every day with them is a gift.

I suppose thats why I love to scrapbook, capturing them in the midst of their big and small moments is one of my greatest joys in life. I'm absolutely thrilled as yet another Mothers Day season rolls around to share some layouts of my precious kiddies made with inspiring goodies from Sofie and Andrew at Scrapmatts...

REACH FOR THE STARS

- How good are these new titles?? Scrapmatts are releasing more every month so keep your eye out for titles and sayings that will work with your pages.

"Reach For The Stars" -Scrap Words 41

TIP: use a white gel pen to draw on simple shine lines in each letter.

-Coordinating circle chippies work beautifully with my star theme here.

I use this drip stencil so often these days on my pages I feel like I should be apologising ... but I won't! lol .... it's a wildly versatile stencil and is a fantastic addition to many different layouts.

PICTURE PERFECT

Another fabulous title on show here... and a couple of simple add ons to help the page pop!

These have all been made using centres from this gorgeous 'Montage Creations' sheet designed by the talented Sophie and some more special chipboard titles.
