September inspiration with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Scrapmatts September inspiration!

As always I try to add different pieces and this month those are a layout and two cards.
My layout is a playful one made with two adorable photos of my 3 years old grand daughter, DCWV products and the most adorable Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils.

Just to show you how much those chipboards and stencils add to your crafts I made this piece as 3 in 1 - it means I made a simple layout, added something to make the second version and added much more to make it as you see it here.

Let me show you Round 1- no Scrapmatts products used.
This is totally same layout, same photos, same papers and so  empty.

So here is version 2- I added some, but not all Scrapmatts pieces, but still left the background as is. I also added the sub- titles using Scrapmatts words.
It is much more interesting, but something was missing.

And here again the last version with  stencilled areas added and more color and all of this was made with some Scrapmatts products only!(and a few flowers as the final  touch).

And now for some close-ups:
All chipboard pieces were painted with DecoArt Fluid acrylics only.

I think that this layout was a perfect example of how a few  great chipboards and some background work can make a simple   layout to a lovely piece of scrapbooking art.

My second inspirational piece for September is a card made with DCWV cardstock and Scrapmatts fabulous chipboards.
The " globes" were die cut from patterned cardstock and then I added the similar Scrapmatts chipboards called Bubbles over it the make this " round around world". The circled chipboard was heat embossed with Stampendous mix of embossing powder  and got this white/brown vintage look.
The Bon Voyage sentiment is Scrapmatts  Assorted words and were covered with copper embossing powder.

Assorted words 04 CB4051

And as always I added one more card to my September list.
This card was made with DCWV products and I just added a few Scrapmatts pieces to make it a real " something". The cardstock has copper look, so I heat embossed all Scrapmatts pieces with copper embossing powder.
Also this is just a card I used 4 different Scrapmatts pieces from 3 different packages to make  this card. You can see the list on the bottom and to make a similar card if you wish.

Cappuccino or Espresso & a baking mold mixed media piece by Dunja

Hello everyone, today it's my turn at the Scrapmatts Blog. I've used the great stencils and chipboards from Scrapmatts and the stamp is from Vildastamps. The background I have embossed white with the Stencil and decorated with some splashes of color and enamel dots. The text 'Best Times' is a Chipboardset of Scrapmatts.

The coffee cup there is only one size - as the Cappuccino. As an espresso is mostly spent in small cups, I just cut off the bottom. ;) The band is made of kraft paper, the rest of the cup I colored myself with the ZIG Markers. Finally cut out the cups and tied a cord around the mug. The cups are glued with Glue Dots on the card.

Do you like the coffee card? :)

And here is my second September Creation for you.

It's a little Mixed Media Piece. I've used an old cake baking mold and painted it with lots of Gesso, to get a shabby look. Then i've added pieces of old bookpages and glued them with an acrylic paint. After that i added a lace and a paper doily on the top. The cirle was cut out with a die and the stencil was used with modeling paste and color burst by Ken Oliver. For a lovely result of the baking mold i added a few flowers and the chipboard element as an eyecatcher.

A Layout & A Little Something by Christine

Hi everyone.  Christine here posting a couple of Scrapmatts projects.  I got excited as soon as I got my hands on the Triangles stencil, so I created with it straight away and this is what I came up with:

Scrapmatts Chipboards: Page Borders (CB2003); Twig Frame (CB6086); Grass (CB5099); Cats (CB1014); Black Scrap Words (CB1197)
Scrapmatts Stencils: Triangles (ST5033); Leaf Sprays (ST5004)
This layout features daddy's little helpers.  Every winter, the girls always piles the firewood in the wheelbarrow, then brings them in the house ready for the fireplace.

I’ve applied some modeling paste through the Triangles Stencil and added a splash of green mist to match the lush color of the grass.  I’ve also done the same process with the stenciled Leaf Sprays, one of my favorite Scrapmatts stencil.

How adorable is the Cat chipboard? I've inked this cat chipboard, as well as the Grass and Page Borders chipboards.  For the Twig Frame, I simply painted the wooden branch and leaves in brown and green.  It's finished off with a couple of Black Scrap Words for the title.

Next up is a heavenly ATC Card:

Scrapmatts Chipboards: Rounded Corner ATCs (ATC10-008); Flourishes (CB1003); Stars (CB1223); Leaves(CB1115); Burnt Cream Scrapwords (CB1200)
Scrapmatts Stencil: Borders (ST1010)

I’ve used 2 ATCs and punched 2 holes on one side, and tied them with ribbons to double this ATC as a card as well.  For a layer of texture in front of the ATC, I’ve applied some texture paste through the Borders stencil.

I’ve added some texture and color to the leaves chipboard and then layered them behind the angel’s wings.  This angel is also lying on the Courage Burnt Cream Scrapword chipboard.  For the Flourishes and Stars chipboards, I’ve simply painted them white and layered them on the ATC card.

As always, thanks for stopping by and we hope you've been enjoying the Scrapmatts team's posts.  To shop Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils, click here.  And for more Scrapmatts inspiration, check out our gallery here.  We'd love for you to share your Scrapmatts creations in the Gallery, and we sure are loving all the beautiful creations everyone is sharing.

Hello

Hello All

Welcome to Scrapmatts blog and my first post.

My name is Jodie Digney & I am a new Design Team member for Scrapmatts.

I am so excited to be joining the team and look forward to sharing my projects with you all and showcasing all these beautiful goodies from Scrapmatts.

I want to say a huge thank you to Sofie & Andrew for allowing me to share my creations using their amazing products.

My first project I would like to share with you is my Design Team Canvas.

This is the base using the Tyre Track Stencil & the Circle Stains Stencil.

I have also used the Assorted Words, Star String Circles, Dragonflies and Bubbles chipboard.

This is the finished piece.

The other project I would like to share with you today is a mixed media layout

On the background of this page I have again used the Circle Stains stencil.

Also used on the layout is the beautiful Leaf Spray chipboard
I have coloured it with Pinecone and Gold ink.
To add some more depth to the layout I wanted to frame my photo.
This is where the Retro Squares worked perfectly. I have coloured them with the gold ink.

To finish off the layout I wanted to use some words that described
how I was feeling the day I took this photo.
The Assorted words - CB6106 were perfect.
The word Beautiful came from Scrap Words - CB1241
