A Very Merry Christmas Creating with Christine

Merry Christmas to all our lovely Scrapmatts followers! I hope you're having an awesome Christmas and I'm here today to spread some Scrapmatts Christmas cheer with a couple of cards and a mini tree.  Let's start with a His and Hers Christmas cards:

Scrapmatts Chipboards: SW016 Merry Christmas

For the black and green masculine card, I stencilled some trees on the black cardstock and generously sprinkled some green glitter.  I then adhered the chipboard sentiment on the card and sprinkled some more green glitter on top of it.

For the purple feminine card, I stencilled on top of the cardstock to achieve a snowy background and snowflake look.  I then stencilled the sentiment on top of the card and sprinkled some silver glitter for a sparkly finish.

I saved my favourite for last which is a mini Christmas tree which I thouroughly enjoyed creating.

Scrapmatts stencilStencil 9027 Damask

First I painted the Christmas tree chipboard with red paint and let it dry overnight.
I then stencilled through the Damask stencil on the bottom chipboard layer of the painted tree and let it set completely.

I then assembled the tree, generously adding glue for sturdiness.
I added the gorgeous red Christmas chipboards to adorn the tree and added clusters of flowers as well.

I added a few dots of glitter on some of the chipboards to match the stencilled background.  I finished it all off with white splatters around for a frosty look.

I just love the gorgeous red Christmas chipboards and off the page range from Scrapmatts.  You can find them all HERE.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you've enjoyed my Scrapmatts' inspiration throughout 2017.  We thank you and appreciate all your lovely comments and we will back for more Scrapmatts creations for 2018.

Enjoy the holidays!

Cheers,

Time is Pressing - with Rikki Graziani

Good Morning how are you all?  Rikki here and no doubt insanely busy as the festive season is nearly here. The kids are getting excited and we are enjoying the  start of the holidays. Hence my inspiration for my first share - Time is pressing........

I have to say I am very happy with the results of this canvas, and whats not to love ?

CB5111 Layered Fob Watch 02

Now for my second piece, I was very lucky this year to demo for Scrapmatts when they visited us in Perth, where I got to play with Tim Holtz Oxcides..... ohhh how I loved playing with them for the three day that I had to just get a set for me....

When inking through a stencil rather than wipe the ink away why dont you mist it with some water and use it as a stamp to get the negative image.

This really is the Silly Season!!!

This really is the Silly Season!!!

Hello and Welcome to my last post for 2017
Are you ready for the Silly Season???
I have a few more things to do but almost done.

Today I would like to share with you my December DT - Love Family Moments

This layout features the gorgeous String Circle Holly
This pack contains 14 pieces of chipboard.
I have used "Letters to Santa" paper from Kaisercraft.

This chipboard was perfect for framing my picture.
My daughter is queen of the selfies, so this is a family tradition on Christmas Day.
I just love it.
She also gets her step Dad to smile.
 (he is our Grinch)

To colour the chipboard I have used my AIAM's (Alcohol Markers) from Kaszazz.
The Christmas word is also from this set and I have left it white.
I have used Postbox Red Spray from Dylusions to flick on the background.

All the chipboard for this project can be found on the Scrapmatts website.

For my second project I have used the hanging stars and the holly chipboard
to create this jar topper.

Again to colour the holly I have used the alcohol markers and to colour the stars and word I have used Silver and Gold Ink from Versa.

This was the finished topper.
I added it to a clear jar found at Kmart and filled it with Christmas Lollies and will decorate the jar.

Here is a list of the products used

I hope you have enjoyed all the designs I have bought you this year and you have found a little inspiration to give them a go.
Thank you all for supporting Australian business.
So from my family to yours

Until next year

3 layouts!

Hi everyone,

First of all I need to apologize.  I totally forgot about today's blog post!
My brain is somewhat frazzled - as I am sure many of you are feeling the same way at this time of year.

Today I have three layouts to share.

You may have noticed that a lot of my layouts have lots of lovely Scrapmatts chippy goodness on them.  Today's layouts are different.  I want to show you that Scrapmatts chippy is also great for a simple addition.

My first layout is for the December 123 Challenge.  I started by using a stencil to do the gold background.  I added the swirl and arrow as embellishments and use the words for my title.

 CB1192 Scrapwords 04

 CB6105 Assorted Words 23

My next layout is another lovely family photo.  Again I used a stencil in gold (bit hard to see!).  I used some of the words for my title and embellies.

My last layout is the cake my daughter made for her 21st in September.  Love how she decorated it with a rainbow surprise inside.  I started with two stencils and bright pastes and sprays.  A simple circle around the flowers with the arrow, and two words and a heart to finish it off.

I hope my layouts have inspired you to make some time to create in this busy period.
Hopefully I will be able to do so over the weekend.

I hope you all have a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year
and I looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings for us all.
