Hi & Welcome

Fi here today and I would like to start with wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!  For some its here in Australia it probably feels like you've already lived a life time.  With the battling of fires followed by floods all I can hope for this year is that we got the worst out of the way so that we can start now making new happy memories.  

I have used a few different Scrapmatts chipboards.  I love creating cards for special occasions, its amazing how much layering you can get in one small space.

I created my own background paper using watercolour paper, Tim Holtz distress oxide sprays,

a few different stamps

Here I've used one of the Birthday words from Scrap Words 29, love the

 chalkboard  look design of these.

I have used the smallest of the fronds here and tucked them underneath the larger flower.

From this one I used the wee little butterflies, inking them with distress ink Hickory Smoke followed by some super fine glitter.

Family Time

Hi everyone, Lisette here for the first time in 2020.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year - spent lots of time with family and friends, and had a rest.

Wow its hard to believe that it is Australia Day already!

I totally forgot my blog post for December - my excuse it was due on Boxing Day!!!

I have three layouts for you today all about family.

My daughters took me to see Hugh Jackman for my birthday.  His Sydney concerts just happened to be on my birthday weekend.  I love hanging out with my girls.  It was a fantastic night.

My next layout was from a photo shoot we had mid year.  Mum and Dad both turned 80 last year and we had some family photos taken.

My last layout is some Christmas fun from 2018.  I am dreadful at taking selfies. It quite a few goes to get a good one, but only after I handed the phone over!

Hi all

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year

Last year a friend of mine spent some time in Switzerland and took some amazing photos of both the ordinary and the extraordinary - so with her permission I have pinched some of her photos and will be scrapping them this year

I didnt really have a plan with this page (if I'm honest), it just kind of evolved. Sometimes it's good not to have a plan and just see where the products and photo take you

I started with the brick stencil and some red gold crackle paste, then added some gold texture paste with the criss cross stencil over the top

The flowers are from Little Birdie, and I have pulled some of the larger ones apart to both make the packet stretch further as well as fit to where I wanted them (a tip I learnt from the lovely Tina Ollett)

I kept the chipboard raw this time to match the hats in the photo. And I found these mechanical rusty leaves in my stash which matched the chipboard pine sprigs perfectly

I have only used 2 words out the packet, but if you wanted to add more as they are the perfect size that you could add the whole packet to tell a story if it suited your photo and page  - they are also the perfect size for some fun adventure cards

As you can see all you need are some papers for the side and base and a few embellishments to really make these cards pop.

Glitter pens worked straight onto the chipboard sentiments works beautifully!

I often just use off cuts and spare paper for the sides and bases.

A big Happy New Year to you all..... I hope you all had fabulous Christmas's and New Years, I certainly did, spent Christmas with family and New Year's with great friends watching some awesome fireworks.....

For my second project I have altered a Pringles tin.  These are so much fun, I will be eating Pringles to build up an empty tin stash lol!!!
