Its that time of year again.

Hi & Welcome

Well this is my 2nd last post before we head into the New Year, feels like yesterday that we celebrated last Christmas and I'm sure you feel the same.  The upside though is getting to spend some lovely days lazing by the pool and if you are fortunate enough you get to spend it with family as well.

Today I'm sharing with you some family snaps taken of my kids.

I've used the Scrapmatts splat stencil to help create my background along with so old rubons that were not getting used.

The chipboard stars have been inked, painted with some glitter to get them some extra sparkle.

On this page here I've used the splat stencil again but have made it more defined.  Along with some more chipboard stars and chipboard sentiments.

I have also used some old rubons that were laying around getting damaged, they worked perfectly in with my background.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this months creations, enjoy your Christmas as next time I post it would have well and truly have been and gone.

Merry Christmas and thank you for spending another year with us here at Scrapmatts!!

November layouts

Hi everyone, its Lisette here with another couple of layouts for my November share.

I was away on a scrapbooking retreat a few weekends ago and I was able to do quite a few layouts, I think each one has some Scrapmatts Chipboard or Stencils on it.

My first layout is for the White with One challenge.  Haven't done one of these for ages, but the black and white theme appealed to me.

Mum and Dad both turn 80 this year.  We had lunch for mum in July and had some family photo's taken - doesn't everyone one love getting family photos done - NOT!  Dad's birthday is in December so I will give them some of the photos in frames them.

Products Used:-

My second layout today is another photo from our Bali trip earlier in year.  This layout was done for the Kraft+ blog's October challenge.  Again another one I did at retreat.  I love using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide sprays on kraft.  I love the soft, but strong effect they make.

Well that's it from me for November.  When you hear from me again the big day will be over!

Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas.  Make sure you don't stress too much, and enjoy yourselves.  Stay safe.  Will see you on Boxing Day ready to have some me time and do some creating!

Beautiful Darcelle with Scrapmatts

Beautiful Darcelle with Scrapmatts

Good Morning and welcome to November....arghhh, does that mean Christmas is nearly here?

Today I would like to share with you a layout I created using some beautiful Scrapmatts chipboard.

I have used the new Prima paper Darcelle by Frank Garcia.
I love the deep purples and maroons.
This layout was inspired by Marg from Country Papercraft in Bruce Rock, where I spent a gorgeous weekend creating.

The photo is from my wedding 7 years ago and I was a few kilo's heavier but the black and white just lent itself to this layout.

I have coloured my chipboard with the Wink of Stella Black Glitter Pen.
I just love the look it creates on the chipboard.

These are the pieces I have used in the layout.

Please head over to the website and shop the new designs.

There are some great new titles suitable for all your scrapbooking needs.

Wish

Good morning how are you? Rikki here with some mixed media beyond the page goodies perfect for those teacher gifts because the silly season is on us arrrggghhhh. I like to create my teachers a personalised gift as I am sure they get enough coffee mugs and chocolates at the end of the year.... so the process start early as I have a few to make and in their favourite colours of course.

A Bit Vintage with Heather

Good morning

This month I decided to jump off the page again with this very cute telephone booth tag holder

I went with shabby chic instead of the traditional red phone booth, and embellished the tags with this very cute pink and blue Christmas range

The phone booth I started by painting black, then added a couple of rough layers of heavy white paint over the top so that it looks rough and old

The tags I covered with the patterned paper, then fussy cut pieces and layered using foam tap, ribbon and burlap

The main flowers and greenery I actually cheated and got from my local $2 shop then just pulled apart and re-assembled to get the effect I was after

The photography was done just on an old peeling park bench seat that I have in my backyard. I did it later in the afternoon when the shade had hit that section, but it was still bright. I wanted to add to the old peeling, vintage look. And not sure if my memory is correct, but I kind of remember there being a bench next to phone booths at kid growing up before we had mobile phones

Thank you again for spending time again with me. I hope it has inspired you to find something different to be creative with over the holidays

Thoughts of Christmas Gift Tags by Kim

Hello...hello,
Kim here with my November share for
SCRAPMATTS

As the month of November takes hold of us, our thoughts are trending towards the coming festive season.
It is scary just how quickly the year goes!

Today I have 2 oversized gift tags to show you.

I have created the bases for my tags with thick cardboard. I then glued white cardstock to my bases. Once completely dry, I ran these through my cuttlebug with a swiss dot embossing folder. Next I created some layers.

I placed cardboard pieces between each layer to create dimension/interest. I also used machine stitching to add  softness.

I am totally in love with all the stunning laces now available from the Scrapmatts Store!
(So soft and pretty)

 Scrapmatts used for this tag-
