Layout and Box

Hi there!

Have you ever liked a chipboard embellishment so much that you don't use it because you want to save it for the perfect project? Well, that's what happened to me with the gorgeous watch from Scrapmatts. Since I saw it I started thinking which project would be perfect for it, and after several months I decided a box would be the solution. So I started searching for one and finally, I was able to use my loved watch chippie :) Hope you like it!!

Chipboards used: CB5111 Layered Fob Watch 02, CB6097 Assorted Words 19

I also made a layout with other of my favorite chipboards: the window frame. I love windows, but it's so hard to find a photo that fits them!

A Little Bit of Pretty with Tracey Fowler

The rain has been falling most of the weekend here in Perth, so what better excuse than to spend my weekend scrapping away.

I have created two pieces of wall art, created by using tags and ATC's.

"Forever" Tags Wall Art

I have used the CB3009 Tags,  painted them with white Gesso, then used a stencil and texture paste to add some interest to the background. I then have used some colour mist sprays to add colour to the background. Once they have dried I have then layered some embellishments and die cuts with foam tape to add interest.  To finish the set of tags off I have used some of the Scrapmatts Scrapwords CB1197  and  CB1189 along with some CB1097 Floral Spray painted white.

" Simple Pleasures" ATC Wall Art

To create this set of ATC's I have embossed some ATC's through the cuttlebug, then painted with white gesso and like my tags then coloured using colour mist sprays. I have then layered embellishments and Scrapmatts chipboard on them to create this piece of wall art.
I have once again used Scrapmatts scrapwords CB1197  and  CB1189. I have also used some CB1078 Gears which I have heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Well it isn't long now before I will be packing my bags and heading over to Brisbane for the
Brisbane for the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo.

Here is a sneak peak of the layout that I will be teaching.

Come and join me and learn how you can make the most of your chipboard, by using it as a stencil, and creating metal like embellishments.

I will be teaching  in Room 3 alongside 2 other very talented ladies on the design team Crece Thomas and Sonia Thomason.

We will be using lots of goodies from Scrapmatts. If you haven't booked your class yet there is still time. Just follow the link and you can book into our classes at  Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo Website and book in for Classroom 3.

Hope we will see you there.

Ski Camp 2000 - Lauren Tomecek

Scrapmatts sponsors Stuck?! Sketches every month, offering two large pieces of chipboard. The sketches are fantastic and I have used this month's sketch as my inspiration for my design team layout this month.

I have used one of the larger circles from CB8001, painting it with gesso then layering up coats of distress stain before randomly stamping over. The snowflakes are CB1180, painted with gesso before being coated with white glitter.

If you want to give it a try too, here is the sketch:

Tags of Prettiness & a Layout from Kim :)

Hello all :)
Kim, here today to share a few things I have been creating using

Firstly I would like to share a few tags I have put together

Using Scrapmatts tags I have embossed using a Tim Holtz butterfly
folder, then painted the tags with white acrylic paint. I then used some collections tissue paper & randomly stuck small bits into place. To add a touch of soft colour, I then added some glimmermist with a paint brush.

Giggle & Laugh

Hello crafty friends, Crece here with you today to share a layout I have created using some awesome Scrapmatts Chipboard pieces.

Giggle & Laugh

I wanted to keep the colour palette for this layout simple by using Kraft as the background with Gold and Black.
I have used the new Hexagon Mesh 02 CB5123 and inked it with some black ink. I love how you can cut this chipboard piece to create a new shape, and once cut what you want, you can tuck the left overs behind other clusters on other projects.

Below is a close up of the main part of the layout. I have used String Circles 01 CB5114 , the new Film Strips 05 CB1232 and the word Laugh from the new Scrapwords 21 CB6103.

Next Month Scrapmatts will be in Brisbane for the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo.
I will be teaching  in Room 3 alongside 2 other very talented ladies on the design team Sonia Thomason and Tracey Fowler.
Here is a sneak peek of the Shadow box you will create in my class….

If you would love to book into my class, or into Sonia or Tracy’s head on over to the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo Website and book in for Classroom 3.
We are all very excited and cant wait to meet and teach you and of course have LOTS OF FUN!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, don’t forget to upload and share your projects using Scrapmatts chipboard into the Gallery.

Looking a little bit blue!

It wasn't until I photographed my layouts for this month that I realised I had gone for a blue theme on both of them! I guess it must be my favourite colour to work with at the moment and definitely not a reflection on how I'm feeling :)
Andrew and Sofie have done it again with some gorgeous new releases with one of my favourites been the Ornate Toppers CB5137 as it means I don't have to cut up my frames anymore!

Using Scrapmatts chipboard Ornate Toppers CB5137, Scrap Words 21 CB6103, Scrap Words 03 CB1191 and Feathers 02 CB1222 along with Scrapmatts Charm Filigree Flower #3 CH005

I love how the Ornate Toppers set off a photo perfectly!

The next layout has one of my favourite photos of Alex. She looks so serene and beautiful that I wanted the colours and embellishments to reflect that and what better than to use some of these gorgeous feathers?
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Stringed Circles CB5114, Feathers 02 CB1222, Chains 02 CB1229 and Scrap Words 06 CB1198

When I painted the Stringed Circle I made a bit of a mess! When I peeled the circle off of the plastic that I'd left it to dry on, a whole lot of paint stuck to it. I was about to clean it off and then decided I actually loved the soft look it gave the circle! I love happy accidents :)
Don't forget that Scrapmatts will be having three classes everyday in Classroom 3 for Brisbane Scrapbook Expo in June. If you haven't booked in yet then pop over here and come and join in the fun!
This is a little peek at what I'll be teaching daily from 2.30pm - 4.30pm
I can't wait for a fabulous 3 days of creating and having fun!

School Holiday Creating....

Hi everyone, Anne here today to share some Scrapmatts.

During the holidays that have just been, my youngest had a day at away and so my eldest and I got to spend the day at home.  He decided he wanted to be a little but creative and spotted one of the new frames.

He went to town, with gelatos, glitter and sharpies on different elements that we chose from Chipboard sets as the picture we chose to put in the frame was from a holiday near the beach.

We then created a tissue paper effect on the edge and then we layered it together.

Then with Mother's Day just around the corner, I decided to make something for my Mum.

She LOVES cooking and spending time in her kitchen.

With the chipboard, I just chose to emboss it white.

Then for a quick and simple card.....

Here I have cut the background heart from some of the new mesh.

Thanks for Looking, I hope you have enjoyed my creations.

Anne
