May Scrapping

 Hi everyone

Lisette here with a couple of layouts.

Life has been quite hectic her over the last few weeks, hence I forgot to post for my scheduled day.   Luckily when I was at a scrapbook retreat a few months ago I created quite a few layouts - so I have some up my sleeve!

My two layouts are from our trip to Ularu in May 2021.

The sunrises are so spectacular in the desert, this one was no exception.  This is quite a simple layout where the photo speaks for itself.  The addition of some Scrapmatts products enhances the layout without taking away from the star of the show!

My second layout is from our walk through Kings Canyon. The Garden of Eden is a waterhole in the Canyon.  Such a beautiful and peaceful spot of respite from the harsh rocks.  The water is so still allowing fantastic reflections.  Love it when the stencil matches your paper!!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layouts. Photos of beautiful places make it so easy. Add in some Scrapmatts stencils and chipboard and your layout is done.

I may have some more layouts from this fabulous place in Australia ready for next month!!

Until then,

Happy Scrapping

Lisette 😊

Lockdown Fun

Good morning This month I have a scrapped a fun photo from a fun partial lockdown day at work. Our residents have missed out on so much during covid, so my work mate and I decided to set up the activity room like an old fashioned ice cream palor and we served old fashioned ice-cream cones. We had printed menus, we escorted them to table seating, we took their orders and then delivered their ice-creams to them. We had music playing, flowers on tables, and I even found some cute aprons for Wendy and I to wear. It is a Happy Memory.
To start the layout I have used stencil ST9039-A4 in the top right corner and the bottom left corner. I first used white gesso as a soft layer. Then I used a shimmer paste to add some dimension
For the chipboard, I have used a white chalk pen to paint the flourish. A white gel pen to do the centre of all of the flowers. The larger flowers I kept the petals raw, and the smaller flowers and the title I just very simply used a metallic texta to colour.
I also found in my Scrapmatts box the remaining frame from some chipboard that I have used previously, so I just inked it white and used it to frame my photo.
Thank you for spending time with me again this month Heather

Scrapmatts - Always Beautiful

Hello... hello!!!

Kim here with you to share a few creations.

Today I am sharing a layout and a set of tags.

I was lucky over the weekend to attend the Scrapmatts Neville Retreat and spend some time with a group of amazing crafty ladies. During the weekend I created the layout I am about to share. I shared with the group how to put foil through stencils and use more than one stencil on a page, how you can have gears on a feminine layout and how to add texture & height to chipboard.

BEACH DAYS

 Hello again all my lovelies.

Well here we are with another month gone and Autumn well and truly here.

So if you have been yearning for the warner weather I have a couple of beachy pages to give you something to remember about Summer.

First up is a friends cute little boy who was totally fascinated with this tiny little crab he found at the beach.

For this page I used two different stencils, a variety of beach themed chipboard, to add interest I added real sand to the page, under the boat and on some of the shell chippies. The use of dimensional magic on the anchors, dolphin and random shells helps to make them stand out.

Next is a page of myself with my two besties Kim Ewins and Rachael Funnel at Kiama. We were lucky enough to be able to spend five days there with incredible weather and amazing views. I wanted to show with this pic (you can just see the ocean behind us) that you don't have to always use all beachy themed chippies on your page. I added some gorgeous flourishes plus some sweet little leaf sprays and butterflies. Through the stencil I used crackle paste giving it a really weathered look.

Until next time

Hugs and love
