Cards...and a little bit of christmas

Hello everyone! I've been making a few cards lately and I embellished them with Scrapmatts chippies. Hope you like them!

Here I used the lovely "Life" chipboard (CB1134 Assorted Words 01)as sentiment, isn't it cute? 

In my second card I chose the gorgeous CB6091 Ornate Frames 19 

And now on to my christmas projects...I know, I know, it's still summer...but if I don't start early I won't have them ready on time!!

I love love love those christmas ornaments (CB1183 Christmas Ornaments 10), so I wanted to feature them in my card. 

I really liked those "Laugh" chipboard, it's so cute! (CB6103 Scrap Words 21) and I also used CB5052 Floral Spray 02

The first LO I have to share I have used some of the new designs released recently

I love how wall the lanterns fit in the frame.

Then I created my next design with one of my favorite sets... The coffee set

I also added some hearts.

Life Never Stands Still....

Hi  All,

Tracey here with you today. Life just seems to be always busy and there is never enough time in the day, weeks, or months. It is easy to get caught up in everything going on and not take a few minutes for yourself. That is why I love to scrapbook! I make sure that I try to schedule some time to scrap...it relaxes me, makes me feel refreshed and ready to continue with my never ending list of things to do.

 

I have created two different layouts again this month using lots of fabulous Scrapmatts goodies.

 

"By the Sea"

 

 

I have created the background using scraps of paper, gelatos, beads and Scrapmatts Chipboard.

I have used the Scrapmatts Square background and Circles (CB5114). I have also used the tittle and star fish embellishments from the CB4067 Marine Life Set

 

 

"Laugh"

 

I have created another layout which started with white cardstock. I have used scrap paper strips, washi tape, Gelatos, texture paste and a stencil, along with crackle paint.

 

 

I have used one of my favourite pieces of Scrapmatts chipboard CB5129 Circle Mesh .

The mesh pieces are a fabulous way to add texture and interest to your layouts.

I have also added some butterflies CB1028 which I have heat embossed with aged gold and the fabulous new  chipboard words.

Harrison's First Christmas - Lauren Tomecek

I love Christmas layouts, I have a whole album dedicated to them. Luckily, Scrapmatts makes a HUGE range of Christmas chipboard designs and there are new ones each year.

 

 

This year was a very special one for me, as it was Harrison's first Christmas. After a horrible start, which involved the family dog jumping at me causing Harrison to fall from my arms and hit his head on the floor, it turned into a great day. Harry slept through the majority of it, as captured in the photos.

 

 

I love this cheeky little photo of him peeking out behind his new teddy bear. The little elf outfit he wore was adorable but only lasted half the day, as newborn outfits tend to do. It's hard to remember he was such a baldy given how much hair he has now.

 

The lovely Scrapmatts pieces I have used in this layout are CB1212 Scrap Words 14, CB6097 Assorted Words 19, CB1224 Holly 03 and CB1097 Floral Spray 01. You know what I think one of the best things about Chipboard is? You can paint it to match the colour scheme of any layout, which makes it such a cost-effective embellishment.

 I have created this easel card using some embossed cardstock, 

Kaisercraft paper, Prima flowers, a little muslin and the stunning

Scrapmatts Frame (CB6090)

 It is such a stunning piece.....I'm sure you would agree!

The next item I want to share is a layout I have created for the July-August 

Challenge over at 7 Dots Studio.

'Animals'

This is my furbaby, Benny!

I have used the Scrapmatts Chains (CB1229) in this layout. I have used 

 BeckBT's Tinby Designs Metallic Melts  on the chains to give them 

a metallic look.

I also used one of the awesome charms also available from 

Scrapmatts

 CH070 Filigree Flower # 10

Isn't it seriously gorgeous!

 

 

I also found some collections tissue paper in my stash that just happened

 to have some spaniels on it as well.....what a discovery!!!

Some new releases and a Christmas play!

I can't believe I'm playing with Christmas embellishments already but December is going to be here before we know it - even some of the Christmas Collections are starting to hit the stores! I figured I might as well get a head start on some Chrissie creating.
However before I share some Christmas tags there are some exciting new releases in the Scrapmatts Online store! Some of my favourites are the different versions of the 'Stringed Circles'. On this layout I've used the Stringed Circles with Stars but there are also plain, dots and arrows (something for everyone!)

Scrapmatts products used: Stringed circles CB5138, Assorted Words 24 CB6106 and Scrap words 02 CB1190. Along with Scrapmatts charms Filigree Flower #09 CH069 and Filigree Flower #3 CH005

How gorgeous are the matching stars to sprinkle around your page?!!

Some simple Christmas tags were next on the agenda - I always need heaps of these at Christmas time!

Cards, notebook and a small decorated frame

Hello everyone! I'd like to share with you a few projects. I made some cards, a small notebook and also decorated a frame to give my mother as a present, all of them with Scrapmatts chipboards.

First, my two cards. I used a blue-brown color combo, which is one of my favorites.

Chipboards used: CB5126 Diamond Mesh 02, CB1221 Nautical Designs 04, CB5096 Layered Frames 02 

I love teapots and cups, so I used two chipboards from a tea set for this notebook (CB1142 Coffee Set 01)

And finally I used one of my favorite chipboards on this frame: the parasol.  It's so delicate and beautiful!!
