Kim here to start off the month with a few of my creations, using the always stunning products from SCRAPMATTS!

Firstly today I would like to share a wedding card I created for a friend.

 Scrapmatts chipboard just adds the perfect touch for creating a special card for someones special day!

 Teamed with lace, ribbon and a gorgeous Prima bloom, you can't go wrong!

I also wanted to share with you all a layout I created for a colour challenge!

I loved how this layout turned out, instead of soft & pretty I went with bold & bright....which is not what I usually do!

Warm Welcome to June at Scrapmatts!

A very warm welcome to the middle of the calendar year, dearest 

Scrapmatts followers!!

The months are ticking over rather quickly, as we hit the mid-point of the year.

I've been creating a lot of Shaker Cards of late, and when I was thinking about what to create this month for my Design Team work, here at Scrapmatts I thought I would make a spin off of the Shaker Card and go with Oversized Shaker Tags!

Making the humble tag just a little more exciting!!!

Let me show you......

 Scrapmatts have a great range of chipboard pieces that can/could be used to create great elements to place into Shaker cards or Shaker Tags!

 To create a little interest on the leaves I simply placed the chipboard in an an embossing folder & ran them through the cuttlebug.

 

 For this Shaker Tag I have used some of the pieces that pop out of the Circle Mesh Chipboard packs.

I also used some seed beads & one of the super cute butterflies from the Leaf Spray pack to place behind the shaker window. I also stuck my Scrapmatts word (Cherish) behind the window.

This is a great way to make the most of your crafty purchases.

The possibilities are endless.

Feeling Krafty - Lauren Tomecek

I recently cleaned my craft room and discovered I have an abundance of kraft cardstock so thought I better put it to use. Kraft is fantastic to pair with chipboard, as it gives a really earthy/natural look if you leave the chipboard raw or can provide great colour contrast if you paint the chipboard.

 

 

My first layout is for the Kraft Plus challenge blog. I have painted the 'Cherish' piece (CB1134 Assorted Words 01) to match the rest of the title (CB6103 Scrap Words 21), which is only available in black. The feathers (CB5116 Feathers 01) look stunning with nothing more done to them, mine were cut out of the white mist chipboard.

 

As soon as I saw this bubble chipboard (CB5131 Bubbles 01) I knew I wanted to use it on a swimming photo of my son. I firstly used the chipboard as a mask with some spray, then embossed the chipboard in white before adding pearl accents. The title is from a mixture of letters in the CB1206 Scrap Words 09 pack, don't feel you need to stick to the expected phrases. The tag comes from the CB1218 Scrap Words 19 pack.

 

 

Cards...and a little bit of christmas

Hello everyone! I've been making a few cards lately and I embellished them with Scrapmatts chippies. Hope you like them!

Here I used the lovely "Life" chipboard (CB1134 Assorted Words 01)as sentiment, isn't it cute? 

In my second card I chose the gorgeous CB6091 Ornate Frames 19 

And now on to my christmas projects...I know, I know, it's still summer...but if I don't start early I won't have them ready on time!!

I love love love those christmas ornaments (CB1183 Christmas Ornaments 10), so I wanted to feature them in my card. 

I really liked those "Laugh" chipboard, it's so cute! (CB6103 Scrap Words 21) and I also used CB5052 Floral Spray 02 

Cards, notebook and a small decorated frame

Hello everyone! I'd like to share with you a few projects. I made some cards, a small notebook and also decorated a frame to give my mother as a present, all of them with Scrapmatts chipboards.

First, my two cards. I used a blue-brown color combo, which is one of my favorites.

Chipboards used: CB5126 Diamond Mesh 02, CB1221 Nautical Designs 04, CB5096 Layered Frames 02 

I love teapots and cups, so I used two chipboards from a tea set for this notebook (CB1142 Coffee Set 01)

And finally I used one of my favorite chipboards on this frame: the parasol.  It's so delicate and beautiful!!

Creating with Scrapmatts!

Hello All :)

Kim here to share with you a few creations I've put together over the last month

using some glorious

 SCRAPMATTS

chipboard.

The first item is a little tag.

I have used the stunning

 Ornate Frame (CB6090) in Black.

&

Assorted Words (CB1134)

on the Scrapmatts Tag

Tags (CB3008)

I created the background for this tag by using a stencil & texture paste, once the paste was dry 

 I inked over the top using black Ranger Distress Ink, then using a wet wipe I wiped the ink off the raised texture paste.

My next project is a layout created using one of the February releases

 [Remember When]

Not the clearest/sharpest photo, but it has a special place in my heart.

This is when my little brother became a Daddy.

I have used the

 Bubbles (CB5131)

&

Scrapwords (CB1197)

I simply love the added dimension the Bubbles, give my layout.

My final share is a layout created for the new challenge blog, KRAFT+

featuring stunning little 'Ayva'

 

For this layout I have used the

Diamond Mesh (CB5126)

My Diamond mesh was in raw, (you can buy this in a variety of colours)

so I simply painted it in gesso, then carefully cut & bent it into the required shape.

A tag, a card and two layouts

Hi there! I'd like to share a few projects I made with the gorgeous Scrapmatts new releases, love them!

In this page I used a border in the CB4060 Ornate Frames 17. I also used CB6043 Card Borders 05 as a embellishment behind the tag "live the life you imagined". I decided to use the CB1220 Ornate Frames 22 to frame my title. Finally I added the CB1198 Scrapwords 06 chippie under the bird.

For this page I decided to add a big flourish chipboard, I used CB1004 Flourishes 05, it's one of my favorites chippies! The little tag which says "Bon voyage" is from the set CB1218 Scrap Words 19. Finally, I added some gears from CB1073 Gears 02 

I chose a bird cage (CB1016 Bird Cages 01) as the focal point of this card. The word "live" is a chipboard from the set CB1134 Assorted Words 01 

I also made a coordinated tag, using that pretty frame (CB1163 Ornate Frames 14 ). The little bird comes in the set CB1203 Birdbaths 03. I added a sentiment from the assorted words chipboards (CB1198 Scrapwords 06)
