Lots of Sunflowers mixed with a little Christmas

Good morning all Well I've got lots to share this month. I found a new paper range and went a little crazy. So I have 2 layouts and 2 cards to share firstly. Then I've got a Christmas project that I've been teaching. To start with I've used this beautifuly bright sunflower range to create these 2 layouts
Although I have created them as 2 single pages, they could very easily go into your album as a double set. I have used CB5152 Circles 02 on both layouts, I just cut it into 2 pieces. I kept my decoration of the chipboard very simple this month and just went around the circles with a black marker.
The titles were done using sentiments from CB1251 Scrap Words 34. This pack is great if you are stuck on how to decorate your chipboard, or are in a hurry, as Scrapmatts have done the decorating for you. You just need to stick it down and go.
I also made 2 matching and very layered cards.
The chipboard that I used was CB6151 Words 36. Again, there was so much going on on these cards, the best and easiest way to make the chipboard pop on these cards was to simply ink with a black marker.
Also this month I have been teaching (as I do every month) at the Scrapbook Superstore, and we have been working on these beautiful beyond the page Christmas Trees. I love that Sofia and Andrew are able to make them personalised with our names in the baubles.
We had the idea to make them look more rustic, so we covered the tree portion in burlap, and then kept the accent pieces pretty simple. Some were covered in glitter cardstock. Some were painted and some were left raw. To make the baubles look round, I painted them first then added glossy accents to them. The one with my surname "The Woodalls" was my original piece. The lime green one was my 1st demo piece for the first class. I am teaching it again today (which is a day before this goes live), and will be doing it with a burnt orange accent. I am hoping to be able to get back on here before this goes live and add a photo. If not I will pop a photo into the comments when this is shared on facebook.
These are some of the women that attended my first class with the trees that they made.
Anyway, I've shared a lot this month, so thankyou for sticking around with me. Heather

November Scrapping

 Hi everyone

I cannot believe that we are almost into December.  I know we all get sick of hearing it - but boy this year has gone fast!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to go on a Scrappy retreat for 4 days!  It was so good to get away from things for a few days and just create. Especially with some wonder scrappy friends.

My first layout is for the November Archiscraps challenge - Steampunk, which needed to include cogs.  I don't do male layouts very often but I really enjoyed this one of my husband enthralled in the steam engines at Echuca.

ST5020 Retro Squares Stencil

CB5142 Retro Squares 02

Cb5180 Chains & Gears 01

CB1078 Gears 05

CB5132 Chains 01

CB6118 Boho 01

My next layout was for Kraft+ November challenge.  It was to be inspired by song lyrics.  My inspiration was from Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head.  We were walking around the waterfalls in Halls Gap recently.  The only day we had no stop rain!

ST9003 Circles

CB5139 String Circles

CB5100 Grass 02

CB6115 Assorted Words 25

CB1068 Hearts 01

I hope I have left you with some inspiration today. I really enjoyed creating both of these layouts.

Until next month,

Happy Scrapping

I hope you have enjoyed looking over my layout?
This is my project for October, as I am playing catch up.
All I can say is everyday life is seriously getting in the way of my crafting life!

Anyhow, hopefully I can get back on track soon?
So until next time ( 17th November, actually... lol)

Happy crafting

Time for cards

 Hello again all my lovelies.

As the title of this post indicates today's offering is a selection of Christmas cards.

With these I have done what I consider to be some basic and very quick to put together cards using the stack, cut and shuffle technique, this is fabulous for making cards very quickly once the initial setting up of measurements is done. Adding the gorgeous Scrapmatts chipboard pieces help to make these so lovely.

I used silver ink of the chippies which matched in with the papers so well and also some bling gems.

With the chippy pieces already coloured it made it so easy to match them to the paper, some more bling, gold this time, looked fantastic.

PRODUCSTS USED

CB1101 Words 21 Joy

CB1178 Snowflakes 01

CB5138 String Circles 02

4mm Silver Sparkle Acrylic Craft Gems

CB6070 Christmas Scene 02

For these next cards I wanted to take it up a notch, using an A4 piece of textured cardstock I was able to make a slimline and smaller card from the one sheet. Slimline cards give such an elegant feel, and the littler ones are so cute. On the small star card I inked the Holly and Joy word chippy gold, as well as on the slimline card with the gold poinsettia but all the rest I left raw, being white mist really makes it not necessary to do anything if you chose not to. Of course, I had to use some more Bling the same as above.

Well I have nearly made all of the cards that I will need for this Christmas but will probably make a few extra just to be certain.
Looking forward to seeing Andrew and Sofie at the Scrapmatts Retreat at Neville next weekend, the very lovely and talented Kim Ewins will be joining me and we always have a great time.
Next time? Not too sure at this time, always lots of ideas running around in my head so just have to pick one.
So until then hugs and love.
