Hi, Fi here today, sharing with you a KeepSakes Cylinder and Christmas Traditions page.
I don't know about everyone else, but I hate throwing away perfectly good packaging. Not getting into the whole environment thingy but just the fact the packaging is so well made to keep those pesky thieves out. My daughter purchased a new boom box on Boxing Day and I couldn't believe the strength in the packaging. So I thought why not upcycle it and turn it into a Keepsake holder.
As you can see I've used a few different Scrapmatts Chippies as well as some templates.
How many chipboard's can you find?
One of my favourite, Scrapmats chipboards are these little engraved tag/words. I have gone through packets of these. They look great with just a little inked edged or when you give then a coating like I've done here.
I also wanted to create a page, journalling our Christmas Traditions, we had a quiet Christmas this years as all our families are in other states. However know matter where everyone is this is always what we do in our immediate family.
For the background I've used the Doily template along with a crackle medium, I have also used the Scrapmatts Christmas Tree & Baubles, which I must say a super cute.
From the closeups you can see that I have given all of the chippies some sort of mixed media coating.
