June this and that with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!

Irit is here and this time I have quite a variety of projects made with Scrapmatts delicious chipboards and stencils.

As usual- the first one is a layout.

Those are my gorgeous and still only two grandkids like a year and something ago.

I made this light Mixed Media layout with Bo Bunny pretty old paper collection and I had to add something new. So Scrapmatts products are new, aren't they? And they fit this layout a lot.

First the photo was outlined with String Circle 04 circle and another one was added near. Two kids, connected with blood and love. Two circles- connected with glue and twine.
The background was made with Circled stencil and just white acrylic. Again- I stayed in this " circled mood" and as the photo background is dotty, I added lots of dots around the page.

The title was made in two parts: the first one " TWO" was added over the circle with twine and I used

Alphabet flags 04 set. The second one " Life Memories" was made with Assorted words 01 set and heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Love and Laugh sayings were added on the top as a kind of journalling using Scrap words 21 set.

My second project for today is my very first of this type. I actually made Project Life page and I think that I like this format of crafting. As you know Project Life means flat, not too much things added other than paper and photos and Scrapmatts chipboards were just perfect to add over my self made journalling cards.

So this is " about me" travel page that tells some of our Latvia vacation story.

I added a lot of rub- ons etc over the paper and photos, but almost each and every piece has a bit of Scrapmatts added over.

On this photo I made over the photo frame with the smallest String CircleS 04 chipboard that was painted into black to be seen.

On the next to this photo jorunalling card I added a few words froms Scrap words25 set.

The water lily gorgeous photo was a bit empty, so I painted the Leaf spray chipboard with glitter paint and heat embossing and added horisontally over the photo.

On this piece I made a saying with half and half: half rub- on and half Scrapmatts Journey word from Assorted words 04 set.

On this piece the words were added twice: on the top and on the bottom as a part of my general sentiment over this part of the layout. I used Scrap words 31 and Assorted words 04 set to make this piece.

Back to Scrap words 25 word that was added on this part of the project.

Sorry, my own photo has no chippies. So let it be!

And something really small as an extra project for today: Mixed Media card I made with one single sentiment stamp and Scrapmatts stencil and chipboards.

This is an easy Mixed Media card made with Inspired by Stamping sentiment, Scrapmatts chipboards and stencil and just some bling over it.
I made it as a chalkboard trendy card, using white paint over Circles stencil.
Then I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder and added the two large Ornate toppes 01 chipboard that was white painted around the sentiment.
Easy to make, trendy card for your inspiration !

More June creating with Lizzy!

Hello there,
I hope this finds you all well!
I have two layouts I would love to share with you today!

The first layout is about some of the pets we have had in our family. We love our animals at our place and they feature in the photos in our albums a lot. So my first layout is about 3 of our furry friends, and sadly 2 of them are no longer with us..

I have used the fabulous STENCIL STAR BURST ST5016

on the back ground to add some interest.

You can see some DIAMOND MESH CB5126 painted white

under the layers there too..

I have framed my photos with the CHAINS CB5132

embossed in white.

and my layout..

Some stamping and water colors completes my layout..

The second layout I would like to share today is another one about a pet I had when I was little. I had a dog and his name was Ted. He was supposed to work with the cattle on our farm, but he was pretty useless! However I loved him!!

I have framed my photo in the pretty ORNATE FRAME CB5002

which I have painted a soft blue color. As well as using a word from the WORD PACK CB1239

I have used the cute PICKET FENCE CB4015

which I have painted a soft green to stand out on the layout. This fence reminds me of the old fence we had around our house on the farm where I grew up..

Remember this.

Scrapmatts with CSI Case Files

Hi everyone! Christine here posting a couple of layouts for Scrapmatts in collaboration with CSI for June. I solved 2 different case files and of course I used lots of Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils. Let's have a look at the first case:

I’ve appropriately titled the first layout "Zoom" as my youngest daughter literally zooms her way around with her balance bike…no fear whatsoever! Red for her energy, circles for the bike wheels, and more colors for her fun loving personality. This page embodies her and her balance bike to a tee.

Scrapmatts Stencil: Clouds (ST1030)

I’m in love with the new circles chipboard. Sofie and Andrew are doing a fantastic job creating new chipboard and stencil designs. I’ve embossed it in different colors to match the green and cantaloupe colors of the case. Check out the adorable clouds. Thanks to the clouds stencil it’s easy to add them to your backgrounds. The cream color on the scrap words chipboards are lovely & these are great for filling up little spaces in your projects.

I’ve used a couple of assorted words chipboards, some painted and some embossed. I’ve also used the off cut to mat the photos…nothing must go to waste. I’ve painted the bubbles chipboard in multi color to match the blue, green and yellow shades of the palette. I love how these bubbles chipboards have dots in them.

So that's the first case solved. Now it's time to have a look at the second case:

My daughter loves to imagine from a very young age...imaginative play, singing, dancing, acting, etc., so this page is a homage to her. I've thrown purples in the layout which is her favourite color and also matches the palette of the case.

How awesome are the new Scrapmatts stencils? The strings stencil would have to be my new favourite. The ornate frames chipboards are gorgeous and I couldn't resist layering them to feature her photo. The hearts frame has been painted and the ornate frame has been embossed.

Did I mention how pretty the birds chipboards are? These come in a pack of 2 sets and has separate adorable wings that you can add on top of the chipboard.

CSI Case file # 203 with Rikki

Good morning Rikki here with a new layout inspired by the current CSI - Color ... Stories.... Inspiration... challenge. I have to admit I have never played along with these and was feeling overwhelmed but after some thinking and joining down notes I felt confident and happy to play along.

Case File No. 203

Theres nothing like fussy cutting !!! But I am always about layering things in between the layers the Scrapmatts CB5127 Diamond Mesh is a great way to add these layers and its so easy to cut so you will have plenty left over for many more layouts.

Add some whimsy fun with CB4063 Leaf Spray 13. I love the how these add some flow to the layout.

My second little share for today is a little book that I have made for my daughter, she is loving learning all her letters at school, and she is always asking what does that start with.... so I thought I should make her a little alphabet book, as she learns something we can add it into the book..... like a visual dictionary.
