Wall Decor & Card

Hello there! Hope you fellow Scrapmatts fans are having a super week so far :)

I recently moved house and have been on a mission to create some cutesy wall decor pieces to complement my scrapbook page that adorn the walls of my new home.

Here is one such piece that was put together using the adorable Owl chipboard piece:

How to:
1) Pick a patterned paper of your choice. (I chose subtle shades to match my girl's room)
2) Trace out the shape of the chippie onto patterned paper
3) When cutting out the shape, cut outside the line so that when you adhere the paper, it covers the chipboard fully
Materials Used:
MAking Memories Patterned Paper
Doodlebug Cardstock

Jewelry Inspiration

Hi there! Ever wondering how to effectively use chipboard pieces as jewelry?

Well, my post today is to show just how we can do that!

Using chipboard to make jewelry can be rather tricky considering it isnt the most tough of materials.

The key is to:
1) Use as little water as possible
2) Adhere similar pieces together, giving it a sturdy feel
3) Keep experimenting till you get the right look and feel

Here are some pics before I share a little tute:

Materials Used:

Step-By-Step Tute:
1) Adhere pieces of similar chipboard together
(i.e: frame to frame, giraffe to giraffe)
2) Add chain links to the top of the oval frame (as shown in picture
3) Jazz up your ensemble will some bling and other materials.
4) Wear it!

About Me Canvas

Hi there! Hope you crafters are having a great weekend so far! I'm here today to share with you'll a canvas I made of me!

Without further ado, here is my canvas

How I put my canvas together:

1) First using the stencil by Scrapmatts, I created texture for the background.
2) Then, using distress paints, I painted over the texture at random areas.
3) Adhere photo
4) I picked out the chipboards I want to use on my canvas. Painted them using Silks and other mediums and left them to dry.
5) I then adhered them

Congratulations! Card

Hi there chipboard lovers! This is Sharm here today, sharing a Congratulations card I made using the beautiful window chipboard.

Here are some close-ups and a picture of the card:

Materials Used:
Scrapmatts window chipboard
Echo Park Patterned Paper
Sizzix Stamp & Metal Die

Here is how I made my card:
*First you will want to give some colour to your chipboard. I used gesso and once it was dried, I added some distress paints.

1. Cut a piece of card stock to 4 x 12 & folded it in half.
2. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 3.7 x 5.7.
3. Using an oval die (so it matches the shape of the window), cut out the centre of the patterned paper
4. Flip the centre over so that the colour on the back creates a different effect for the card
5. Using a stamp of your choice, add some images of flowers and foliage about the oval shape
6. Add sentiment

Easy peasy ain't it? Do check the store for more, lovely chipboard designs!
