Today I'll show you a man's gift. It is a great canvas for photography and greeting card. Such a gift can be given for any occasion and celebration. I gave it to a man for his anniversary.

Made a set in the same style. So it looks more impressive

How I helped my beloved wonderful chipboard! I took the chipboard on the male theme.Painted with black paint.

August Layout with Novita Ferris

Hello everyone, 

Novita here with you today. I hope you're having a lovely August so far and also had a wonderful weekend.

Today I'm sharing a mixed media layout that I created using Scrapmatts chipboard pieces and stencil.

Stenciling Fun - with Rikki Graziani

Good morning how are you this fine Sunday... Rikki here today to share with you some stenciling fun!!! Yes I said stenciling!!! 

I was very lucky and grateful to be able to demonstrate for Scrapmatts when they came over to Western Australia at the start of the month.... whats better than sharing you love of things arty while creating some art!!! So over the three days of the show I was reminded how fun it is to play with stencils  to create art journal pages.

Fi here today to share with you two layouts.  I went with a masculine theme using photo's taken of my dad with his grandchildren.  When you live out in the country here in Australia you do need to learn a few basic survival skills.  

  I have given the chipboard bubbles a coating of Patina effects from Finnabair range.

On this page I've used some lovely little cogs that just worked beautifully with the theme of the page.

Keeping it simple I inked the edges heavily with some ink followed by some copper was. 

The templates are easy to use and help control your medium if you are concerned about mucking up your page.  If you haven't tried them give them a go as they are such a fun way to add to your page.

Wow it's August already!!!

This month has been a treat. I was able to spend a fantastic weekend with the beautiful Sofie and Andrew at the Craft Fair in Perth on the weekend of 3rd - 5th August.

I was able to spend time with the very talented Rikki and teach some card classes.

So this month I have a layout to share with you featuring Scrapmatts amazing chipboard. 

For this layout I have used the Denim and Friends papers from Maja.

The photo is of my husband and his father. His dad had a stroke back in March and my husband hadn't seen him in 15yrs. So I hadn't met him or seen him before. So recently he has reconciled with his dad and we have spent some time with him. I had always thought he looked like his mum, man was I mistaken!!! He is definitely a chip off the old block!!! 

Two layouts for August

Hi everyone

It's my turn on the Scrapmatts Blog for August.

My first layout is my layout for Made to Scrap - The Aussie Way.  This is a new challenge website and as the name suggest you need to showcase Australian products and handmade stores.  Most of the products I use these day are locally made or owned.

As you can guess I use Scrapmatts Stencils and Chipboard all the time.
The layout below was during a recent holiday in Bateman's Bay on the NSW south coast.  There were a couple of hiccups along the way - nothing major - so didn't think much about them, but the owners thanked us for being accommodating with some bubbles and an evening in the penthouse.

 My next layout was for the Colour Blast (another Aussie company) July Challenge.  It was to use lots of photos in a double page layout.  I haven't done a double page for a very long time.  Again I have used Scrapmatts Stencils and Chipboard.  Most of the Chipboard pieces are embossed with Colour Blast embossing powders.  Scrapmatts and Colour Blast - a fabulous combination.

The photos are from a quick stop at Corlette Beach to watch the sunset.  Absolutely magnificent!
