Pretty in Pink 💕

Hello all, I'm back again this month with some more pretty floral projects - the majority of my photos are taken out doors so I find the pinks and greens always work beautifully with most of them!
For this layout I created my title by inking some of these lovely chipboard words.

And of course I could not resist adding in these black panelled words - I love how these look on any project and find myself reaching for them often as a bit of a substitute for journaling. The words bring feeling to the layouts without too much effort.

These are another wonderful little treasure trove of scrap words that you can add to any project that look really dynamic with their varied text presentation.

And lets not forget background stencilling - I used a simple diamond pattern this time to add a bit of action to the background - this is an old favourite of mine 💕

For this cute lamp embellishment I simply coloured the chipboard with a black sharpie and after adhering it to the page I filled the lamp section with some Crystalina Kindy Glitz - giving it a bit of a magical luminescent look.

With the left over papers from my layout I also made a card - I have about a million happy birthday cards in my stash so now I'm focusing on getting a good supply of cards I can give to friends when I want to be encouraging or even just say thanks.

Once again these solid backed titles are just marvellous for adding sentiments
and this pack in particular is very versatile for cards.

A few subtly inked leaves was all this one needed to finish it off with the rose patterned papers.

Thanks for popping by for a look - I hope you have found some inspiration
for helping with your own projects.

Cheers from Kel

Sweet Memories with Heather

Good morning all I hope that you have all had a great month and are enjoying the wind down to the end of the year. I have to be honest and say that my end project this month was a long way from where I started, I had all these grand visions of doing what I started with (texture paste, stencils, shimmer powders, chipboard etc), but wasn't happy, so instead, I did this very soft and feminine layout for you. I will keep working on the original project and hopefully you will get to see it finished in the future. For this layout I started with the papers and then matched my chipboard to the paper, I quite often do that in reverse.
I haven't done anything too fancy with the chipboard, as clearly that wasn't working for me this month. I've simply grabbed a light pink and a soft white paint and painted the chipboard pieces.
I have then layered the flowers (CB1026 Flowers 06) to give some height. And finished off the title (CT119) with glossy accents.
I also had some of the Lace Flowers (LM019) so have tucked them in in a couple of spots.
When I am teaching, I have people say to me "how do you keep coming up with ideas", "do you ever make mistakes", "your projects alway look perfect". I started my post with honesty, as wanted to re-assure you, that sometimes, when life is crazy, ideas might be there but are hard to put together, or ideas are just hard to get, and YES, I definately make mistakes. BUT, keep going, keep trying - the goal of craft is to have fun, keep smiling, reduce your stress, and every mistake is a learning curve, or as I alway say, and excuse to use a flower or a butterfly to cover it. Have a good month Heather

IT'S ALL HAPPENING AT THE ZOO

 Hello again all my lovelies.

Well as promised last post I have gone to the animals, zoo animals that is. I love going to the zoo and have been fortunate enough to have been to quite a few.

One of my all-time fav animals is the Meerkat. I think they are just the cutest little things and can stand there for ages watching them, so it seems only fitting that I should scrap a couple of pics that I have.

For this page I used some fantastic pieces that I inked and made a little scene that went perfectly with the pics. I also added some corrugated paper that is also available from the store as well as words that I inked in a dark brown.

PRODUCTS USED

CB5133 Africa 01

CB6131 Assorted words 32

Next up is the cutest little Red Panda, they have such a sweet little face, seriously who could resist this.
I used the same scrap words, added some leafsprays, inked green, and a few scattered gold bling.

Well that is all from me for this month.
I hope that you found some inspiration to use those zoo pics that you may have.

Until next time
Hugs and love

It's all in the details!

Hello creative community ...

I'm back again this month sharing some new creations - no themes this time, just some random pages and a step card I made recently.

I'm actually on a mission at the moment to do something productive with a bunch of spare photos I have collected ... these have been kicking around in my study for a while so it's time for them to find homes on beautiful papers with some gorgeous detailed embellishments 💚

This is what I love most about Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils - they are incredibly versatile as far as creating your own co-ordinating embellishments goes. All I really need these days is one nice sheet of paper, a patterned stencil for the background and some chipboards I can custom colour 👌

Some pink ink finished off these words perfectly!

And these leaf spray chipboards look awesome with just some
gold coloured ink added then touched with brown on the edges.

I used gold ink on these lovely detailed chippies then filled the lamp
with liquid pearls to give the finished product a luminescent feel.

...and of course I couldn't resist a little bit of background action -
using this cobblestone stencil and ground coffee coloured ink to
add interest to the flat background paper.

Then there were the little extras I just keep shoving in! lol 😜

- I'm not a fan of doing lots of journaling on my layouts so simple
expressive words like these help me convey meaning in my pages
without all the extra writing 💚

Here is my second offering - a layout put together with much the same formula as the last -
* A beautiful sheet of paper
* A piece of card stock that helps tie in the colours in the photo
* A background stencil to lift my coordinating colour
* A bunch of chipboard embellishments that compliment and convey meaning
* A few butterflies and flowers I just couldn't resist lol😉

These simple word pack are my go-to solutions for creating easy titles AND they save
me a small fortune on buying elaborate procreated title embellishments.

I was keen to bring some of that blue into my background paper so I used this beautiful
stencil to lightly add a pattern to my background.

And the birds - of course - I truly believe that success lies in all
these tiny details when it comes to creating beautiful unique layouts.

.

My photo was taken on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River so I added in these lovely
bullrush chipboards to compliment the photo
... the 'CAUTION - GIRLS AHEAD' sign was just added as good advice! 😜

And once more - I let these perfect and already finished chipboard words do my journaling for me...

And last but not least, I'm sharing a card I made for a very special friend...
She's a card maker too so really didn't need another Happy Birthday offering.
Instead I made sure I created something that would let her know how I feel about our friendship 💙

These are the perfect size for the front of cards!

Of corse I'm up to my old tricks here again - journaling the easy way with chippie words 👌

.

Our favourite thing to do is sit and chat - this park bench will resonate with my mate when I give her this card - its s beautiful when you can communicate so much with one simple image! 💙💙💙

It's been great sharing with you again, happy creating people.

Cheers,
Kel
