Boy verses Girl.....

Good morning how are you all, Rikki here today with some new pieces for Scrapmatts. This time for those with boys / men in our lives. I must say when I only had my boys, layouts where so easy to do, then I had little miss and I got nervous, I mean I had been scrapping 8 years with boy only layouts, how was I meant to do girly?

Then once I ''mastered'' the girly, it became increasingly hard to scrap boys, or maybe I was more aware of the availability of boy products verses girly ones..... Which made me think how did I do it before? Thank goodness for mixed media, I think that allows your get really creative when doing boy layouts.

My Second layout for the month is something a little bit different for my style, but I am obsessed with this finish!!! While Scrapmatts where over in Western Australia, I got to demo after the demo was able to have a little play out the back, I have been waiting to play with these new rust paints forever and this was a perfect opportunity to try them out on some chipboard.

Till next month, have a creative day.

Rikki xxxx

OCTOBER CREATIONS WITH LIZZY!

Hello there, I hope your day is going well..

I would like to share with you two layouts I have recently created using lots of wonderful SCRAPMATTS products.

On the first layout I am sharing with you today I have used 3 lovely stencils on my back ground in gold. I mixed gold paint with texture paste to get the consistency I was after to be able to spread it over the stencil.
I will list the stencils and chipboard pieces after I show my layout.
I have used one of the DRESS FORMS 02 CB6037 which I covered in gorgeous gold beading as the  colors for my layout are gold and black.
I have also used a quaint LAMP POST 06 CB5028 in black as well..
One of my favorite stencils is the STAR STENCIL ST5039 so you will see me use that one a lot.. It is great for Christmas themes too..
and my layout..

Oh so Lovely!

Oh and I cant forget the CHIPBOARD FILM STRIPS 05 CB1232 which I covered in black.

The next layout I would like to share is one for the Design Team I am on and we had to use the word "Adventure" on our layout somewhere..  I found a photo to use and then I got some fabulous chipboard pieces that were great for my layout.

And once again I have used the Starburst Stencil  on the back ground and I think the ultimate adventure would be a hot air balloon ride so I have used a fabulous HOT AIR BALLOON CB5035 chipboard too.

And I confess I really do love the Chipboard Film Strips 05 CB1232 as I have used one on this layout as well.

and my layout....
Adventure awaits..
And just under the photo I have used one of the Chipboard CHAINS 02 CB1229 painted in pink, with the trendy
Chipboard CIRCLES 02 CB5152 colored using ink pads.

Harrison Showcase

I know most of the rest of the design team is showcasing Christmas projects, but I'm a little obsessed with my son Harrison at the moment so he's staring in my two projects. I hope you find him just as adorable as I do. :)

We received our professional photographs by Rachael Wilson Photography from the newborn shoot we did when Harrison was ten days old recently and I just had to create a display for them. Scrapmatts chipboard made the perfect accent pieces for this. It's strange to see him looking this small, he's grown so much in just three months!

Scrapmatts used: CB6095 Assorted Words 18; CB1129 Australian Federation Corners 07; CB6093 Ornate Frames 21; CB1209 Scrap Words 12; CB6055 Prams 01; CB5035 Hot Air Balloons 01.

Following on from the 10-day old photos of Harrison, here is one taken last week. My journaling describes some of the early challenges we faced with breastfeeding, how we're working to overcome these and how much I enjoy post feed cuddles (which is when I took this photo).

There are so many different ways you can use chipboard but sometimes all it needs is a quick coat of paint like I've done here.

Scrapmatts used: CB5106 Chevrons 01; CB8001 Circles 01; CB4055 Assorted Words 09.

summer layout+soft passport cover

Hi dear scrappers!
Today I have for you two projects to show.
First layout about our vacation in Crimea last year. For it I used different details like dots, stickers and of course Scrapmatts chipies.
I think the air baloon, ancor and frame are perfect touch for my project :)

Ancor as a part of word :)

The second project is my first ever soft passport cover.

For it I used  very unusual and unique fabric with  embroidery and beautiful birdcage

Have a nice day!
Tanya :)

How a Layout comes into being....

Hi Everyone, Anne here with you today.

Isn't it funny how layouts can come into being sometimes.  I had a half done layout sitting on my bench.  I didn't know what to call it but i felt the colours of the paper went with the picture, but hadn't got too much further than that.

There was the beautiful vine (Leaf Spray CB2022) sitting my my scrapbook pile, and I was looking at other pieces, and saw my icecreams (CB5094).  And so I opened up the packet and the rest just went from there.

Close up of the Chipboard, showing the butterfly (CB1010)

Even my title came from the chipboard.

I also wanted to share with you this Card i made which features a Chipboard Frame (CB8006).  I have heat embossed it and then coated it with Speckles to give it a fabulous glittery effect.

Then here is what I created for Charms Creations.  I was inspired by her fabulous creations, but I also added some Scrapmatts.

Here is a close up of the chipboard, I have used the Hot Air Balloon (CB5035) and some etched words(CB1189).

Well I hope you have enjoyed my creations.
